Roman Space Marines?

*nerdgasmn*
Yeaaahh. Goddamn. I would name my magnificent armies Legio I, Legio II and so forth, crash other meaningless human barbarian nations and let them be a part of glorious Roman Empire and burn, destroy, subjugate and enslave aliens and human nations alike who would venture to resist the allmighty Rome.
And if Paradox announce and release just a generic space game without any Romans , I will burn and destroy my CD with Hearts of Iron III. Yeahh, that would be huge fun as well.

So someone had the right idea, he just didn't zoom enough. Using advanced techniques I was able to find the secret clue within the clue.

See that face, we've seen that before, we need to go deeper.

See that red dot I was able to tease out of it, its important. Why is there a red dot in his eye? flash photography? NO, its a clue

The red dot is still there, wasn't able to get that closer of a view of it, its still blurry.

I zoomed in here but I haven't enhanced yet. I still need to do another zoom and enhance to bring out the details.

And there we have it. Rome confirmed

Hallelujah brothers and sisters. Romans will be in this game!
My lord! We all kneel before you, as from now you are our master and we all will serve you till the end.

The art looks fantastic. Well, from what I can see.

How are people still so certain that this is an ancient Rome game? Nearly every clue we've been given is telling us that it isn't. Don't be trapped into wishful thinking. Take a word of warning from a guy who once said in the World of Warcraft forum "The next expansion cannot possibly be pandas. Everyone who disagrees is retarded."

Africa can into space?

A Doomsday scenario ?
The rest of the world died in some kind of war and some people/state from Africa harvested what was left and then ..space.
Hmm....*grump* I said blaxploitation first !

Where did Rome show up ? Without Rome it's an unlikely scenario. Clearly.

You know, for some, reason, maybe except for the "all of PI have been wanting to do and is involved in this project" clue, all of them makes me think it's an American Civil War game. I don't truly believe it is, but here are my thoughts:

Elections and Technological Development are important parts of the game

Well, it's the US during the Second Industrial Revolution, so naturally there will be elections and technological development.

Seven and Three are important numbers.

Enjoy the weekend!

Well, there were seven original seceding states, with seven stars on the original CSA flag and three bars. Kinda stretching it...

Terrain truly matters in this game.

Terrain was rather important to any of the battles that happened; battles were won or lost because of height advantages, river crossings, etc.

And as for today's hint? I think anyone who knows a bit of knowledge of American history during this era would know where I'm going with this. Anyway, like I said, I don't really expect it to be an ACW game, but that's what it almost looks like to me.

I actually hope its a space game this time around, but i would not mind a rome based one either.

Besides, we ca't be sure that the guy is african.

Remember the old mediterranean portraits for CK 2? Maybe he's a spaniard or an italian.

Yeah, of course... Italian... Rome... Roman!!! :D
