You know, for some, reason, maybe except for the "all of PI have been wanting to do and is involved in this project" clue, all of them makes me think it's an American Civil War game.....

Gettysburg - Armored Warfare II ?

...oh, that wasn't a PDS game. That was close. I was scared for a second.

Guys at Paradox must be having so much fun reading all the wild guesses on this forum. I am not going to guess anymore, just wait till it's announced.
Yes.. yes we do :p

Are we even sure that is a human? Might be an alien, with a human face.

Might be a horse body or tentacles below.

We know but we still cannot stop.

Besides, it is fun to imagine Roman Space Marines.

You mean something like the Adeptus Custodes (closest thing I can think of that slightly resembles roman armor in the WH40K universe, but over the top as with everything else in that universe)

Yes, but not as unlovingly done.

And the ships instead of Gothic style in Greco-Roman style

The Great Greco-Roman Empire, to bring civilization to the barbarians and aliens, with sword and fire.

My theory is that the game starts in the present day or some time close to that, you select a nation to play as,and then you develop tech to colonize the Moon,Mars,Europa, and everything else in the solar system, perhaps even going to a few solar systems closest to ours.In addition, the ground combat could take cues from HOI3 or 4,the intrigue and characters from CK2,and the pops and from Victoria 2.In addition, there would probably be a new election mechanic for democratic countries which, due to it being set in modern times, would comprise the entire first world.

Yes! Sword and fire! Peaceful gamestyle should be forbidden for Space Romans. Only Legions, only war, only glorious Conquest. Peaceful mechanics should be left for Space Greeks and other meaningless minors. A truly Roman Space Marine burn the barbarians, burn them all! For the Emperor!

Needs more space romans thou

So in the background you see the blue sky, some mountains/hills on the right side and on the left side you see something like marble (I don't think it's steel or metal, because its colour tones change so it's, well, marbled.).

Dark skinned people as leaders could be in space and in ancient times.

I still don't know what it is. I may be that they have a space game, but one of the leaders (?) has a background based on their planet/world or there is an "earth-like" background, because it's not a space game.

Now that I think of it, that guy doesn't seem to have a Roman era hairstyles (when did Numidian and Aethopian people begin to use precise plastic combs?). So it might be Victoria 3 as much as I can think.

Or it indeed be a space game, in which case I will never touch it since I have absolutely no interest in science fiction or fantasy.

I'm hoping for CK2 meets HOI3 kind of space game. I'm thinking awesome ship designing, creating awesome unique fleet doctrines then controlling the battles strategically (much like HOI3) and really in depth political intrigue similar to CK2 but with elections and character backstabbing. If the space game turns out like this it'll be my DREAM GAME since I was a kid. Only please add in an awesome custom race designer like EU4 has.

alll my hype has gone...dark.

A CK-meets-Victoria would be amazing.

Play as a politician, compete for elections while smearing Bismarck's reputation, assassinate a member of your own party, bang the wife of the French governor of Alsace-Lorraine, send your son to join the Prussian military as a general, send your other son as a political advisor to the newly modernized Japanese government, while buying a nice estate house for retirement in USA from the funds you have collected from your uncle's Liquor Factory.

And don't forget to see that your rival politician never gets to buy land in newly acquired colonies in Africa, while turning into a populist.
