i just get a crash when I use PB alone. if I use SWMH with PB it does not crash.
Are you using any modules or mods beyond PB?
When does it crash?
First time installing this mod. The 3-28 version and it crashes when selecting Years to start. First time it crashed right away and 2nd time it crashed after clicking a couple of years and the background would load that version and crash trying.

Oh an i just installed everything the exe. gave me the option to.
When using SWMH the later start dates can be unstable as they're not focused much on.
Do you have similar issues before year 1100 or so?

I've only fired it up twice but i'll stick to the lower years and hope for the best. Thank you for the reply.
From my tests, it appears going directly from 867/1066 to any bookmark after 1204 will crash the game in SWMH.
Aasmul is looking into the issue right now, so hopefully it'll be fixed for the next release.

If you first go to 1204 you can then go to the later bookmark you actually want to go to without it crashing. Do note that there will be errors in title allocations though since SWMH focuses on the earlier dates.

Not sure if this belongs here. Bug might also be vanilla-related... I posted it in the official bug reports section as well. Anyway:

While playing a Sunni sultan, I was unable to join a Jihad due to the diplomatic distance between me and the Caliph in Baghdad. Not sure if mods cause the problem, or if it's a vanilla problem.

A screenshot:

I also use these mods: "Cultures and Portraits Revamped" and "Old Age"
Vanilla issue; Paradox must've forgotten to give crusades an exception to diplomatic range.
playing HIP without immersion,latest patch,after Wiliam conqueres england he recieves an event creating a personal mercenary band(norman company or something).But the mercenary band never reinforces,and starts with 0 units...
Already fixed in the PB beta :)

This is not a bug report but more of a request for assistance from anyone in this forum that might have certain hardware know-how. Recently, when I unpause the game and let it run something inside my computer is buzzing. It sounds like some kind of warning buzzing. I imagine it has something to do with the motherboard or possibly the graphics card. Anyone ever encounter something like this and know what might be causing it? It's fine if I keep the game paused but once I start letting it rip the buzzing starts. I've made no hardware or software changes other than RoI.
Most computer noises are simply fans. Most components don't have any sort of speaker. Mobos occasionally have speakers, but those are used for system beeps, which are rather distinct.
Perhaps one of your fans is brushing against something, such as a cable or the case itself? A fan not being properly fastened could also cause it to wobble, making noise.

I tried it with various moduals, then alone, it crashes before it loads, and it's some kinda "C++ Visual Runtime error" where the program "Requested to be closed in an unexpected manner", or something to that effect.
What combination of modules?
Hi guys, great mod, one issue tho

I originally started as a norse pagan, and the button for reforming was there, but since changing to slavic pagan the button for reforming has completely disappeared and i am unable to reform. I meet all the criteria, have the 'reforming available' icon in the top notice bar thing but there is phycially no button on the religion page to press to start the reformation. I'm in a great save atm so if anyone could tell me where in the files this should be, i'd be happy to investigate and try and fix. Same with where the code is for the creation of the "The Slavic Church" titular title, can not seem to find either.

Oh i'm using the post RoI version with everthing that works
Hmm. You could try reinstalling without ARKOinterface to see if that solves it. If it does, please do tell us so that we can fix it.
I can't think of any of the other modules that would affect the UI.

Could potentially even be a vanilla bug though.

Playing with 2.1.2.1 and PB+VIET Events+ARKO+NBRT. The Iranian culture group special retinue, which is supposed to be 130 horse archers and 120 light cav, is instead 120 light cav and 130 "Special Troops" with no stats and which all die instantly on entering combat.

In the 00_retinue_subunits.txt file, the line "special_troops = horse_archers" is missing from the entry for the Iranian retinue (as well as the Cuman/Pecheneg and Turkish retinues). Adding this back in seems to fix the issue.
Being fixed next version.

Not sure if this is WAD. While playing a Sunni ruler, I have been unable to declare war on Ibadi rulers. It says I have no casus belli at all, while I normally should at least be able to declare a Holy War or simply a (muslim) county conquest war. This has been the case for the whole campaign already.

He's in the Sahara; they're excepted from nearly all CBs as conquering nomadic tribes... doesn't really work :p
I think there maybe a bug with the `reward for converting a province` when set as an ambition. I always without fail, seem to get the `chaste` trait as the reward.
I mostly get piety. It might be bad luck?

Selecting later dates boookmarks instantly crahses the game. try testing with hundred years war.

I was really glad this bug was fixed and I could play later bookmarks in HIP 2.04 version. Very sad it's back again :(
Being fixed in the release on Saturday :)

Great news! I'm glad again. :)

By the way, I can't send my spymaster to my capital for building spy network to increase assassination chance(or harass barons to squeeze some money). Is this working as designed?

I reasoned that if shouldn't be hard to assassinate characters residing in your court for obvious reasons, but since I can't send my spymaster to my capital, it's actually harder to kill them than those outside of my realm.
The trigger for that (from vanilla) is that at least one ruler in the province isn't you. So if any barony is held by someone other than you it should allow you to send him there.

It installed fine on Windows 7, for me. But I am getting some visual anomalies after selecting to play Christian of Hamburg, and then clicking Arrange Marriage. What looks like white hair with a ponytail is hanging above and to the right of Margit, Courtier in Bacs. If I click her portrait, it goes to the screen correctly under her liege, but again, the hair is hanging diagonally above her portrait.
What combination of modules are you running?

VIET, complete, including Immersion.
ARKOpack Armoiries
Project Balance

I've seen no other visual problems yet. Tried loading a few other rulers to play and check this out.
If it isn't a vanilla issue (vanilla had some issues after they implemented some portrait compression, but I think those are supposed to be fixed now) it is probably caused by Immersion, since that's the only mod in HIP that mods portraits.

Playing with every module except SWMH and PB's "No ahistoric empire" decision seems to be bugged. Some of the empires don't vanish fully. Specifically, Abyssinia, Arabia, Bulgaria, Caucausia, Capathia, Mali and Tartaria (plus the two Romes, Persia and the Indian empires, of course). I am playing in the Stamford Bridge start, if it matters.
I probably forgot to update it for RoI. I'll have to look into it, thanks.

Very much confused why in my last game, it's possible to declare religious reconquests on... duchies of fully different religion? And then they don't even keep it. Or get the cooldown. What this means is that sizeable Norse guys aren't actually expanding properly, as they're going for the CB that will get them the whole duchy... and then it does nothing.

And since CB's haven't been touched in the update, I don't think this is going to have changed...

PB, SWMH, Viet Events, Arkopack. Basically everything but Immersion.
The only way I see that being possible is if a county within the duchy has a misplaced barony in another duchy. That way, the requirement about having a dejure title in a location with a different religion would be technically true.
Could you open up the ProjectBalance.txt CB file, and below line 1006 add "tier = count" and see if that fixes it?

Code:
#Target must have at least one province of declarer's religion
        any_direct_de_jure_vassal_title = {
            owner = {
                OR = {
                    character = FROM
                    is_liege_or_above = FROM
                }
            }
            location = {
                ROOT = {
                    religion = PREV
                }
            }
        }

Inside which set of brackets?
Before the owner scope.

Actually, that shouldn't fix it. Notice that it is any_direct_de_jure_vassal_title = { ... }. As it is a duke title by definition, it will only have count-tier direct de jure vassal titles.
Hmm yeah, you're right. I don't see how the CB can be triggering then though.

Note the only reason that I don't have the ability to click send is because I'd just conquered the Isle of Wight off him (I entertain myself in situations where I can only take one province at a time by just claiming his capital).

Though it's annoying to have to spend so long warring against one duchy just to get all my de jure land.

Also, it doesn't appear to care for geographical restrictions.
I can't reproduce your issue at all. Could you perhaps send us the save?
