Caucasian culture for the guys there and caucasian culture for Byzanz. Sivas is not to be touched and anything else there should have caucasian religion.

So, yes it is turkish culture or caucasian culture and they should be sorta equal.

So, Dagestan, Armenia, Georgia, Sochi and maybe Kouban go caucasian.

Sivas may be added as a cb but no deturkification there either.
 
Agreed. I'll modify the events to use caucasian culture (georgian in events, right?) instead and Sivas will stay turkish.

In the end it has only one province to change culture, not too large change in cultures, imo.

Me and two friends of mine tried Aberration in a LAN party, and basically there was one thing that bothered us - that Byzantium can't get any extra cores.
The guy who played them tried so hard to get them, and then he looks in the event file after a few hours - no extra cores. He stopped playing then, and kept alt-tabbing out to play Minesweeper :D .

This was with the version from the 3rd of August. Will Byzantium be able to get extra cores in a later version?
 
Yes. Byzantium's huge event file has been mostly dealing with dynastic changes, but latest additions are more in the line of boosting (some cores, some culture, manus...). Although Byzantium starts with so many cores that it's not gonna get huge swaths of cores like Ukraine.

Some dynastic events have rather significant effects, also as the good things Byzantium gets depend on dynasty, it's would be rather difficult to separate them. I will do a guide into them.
 
Some core events will come. But we won't go EEP and let Byzantium be a second OE, sorry.;)
 
Well, at least a few cores up along the Adriatic coast like Istria, Dalmatia, Croatia and Krain would be good, I think :)

So what I am trying to achieve:

1) Monarch has to be 40202 (Michael Doukas) for this to happen
2) Byzantium has to own these provinces which are the core of the Empire: Rumelia, Bulgaria, Thrake, Macedonia, Anatolia and Smyrna
3) If Byzantium has a core in Napoli, it must own either Napoli or Apulia
4) If there is not a cot in Hellas, Byzantium has to own Hellas and Morea
5) If Byzantium has a core in Armenia, it must own Armenia and either Sivas or Kurdistan
6) And finally Byzantium has to own all from one these three groups:
- Kaffa, Kerch, Ionia, Crete, Rhodes and Cyprus
- Dobdruja, Serbia, Albania, Ragusa, Kosovo and Bosnia
- Trabzon, Angora, Adana, Konya, Aleppo, Kastamonu, Antalya and Taurus

This huge set triggers is for the best booster event Byzantium will get and I made it so complicated because I wanted that Byzantium is going strong, but also that it's required success is dependent on it's choices and also that it still has some options in it's general expansion.

So, here's the poorer Michael Doukas booster event, also the one you are most likely to see in MP, as the very hard to achieve triggers in the better one make it imo very rare in competetive MP.

Now Archie, before you start complaining how overpowered that seems, remember that it has very hard to achieve triggers by AI or by human in MP and that Byzantium has it's heavy revolting period in 1632-1647 which ends in Michael Doukas, so practically almost all those triggers have to be achieved before 1632 and held for the revolting period. I intend this as mostly for SP fun for the very successful player.

Well, it's dates are intended that short mainly because those are the last years when the pro-Genoa Palaiologoi viable to gaining that dominance are in power, so if they gained it and lost their position there later, it's imo reasonable that Byzantium would not feel italians are accepted people anymore when Palaiologoi are removed from power.

I could actually tweak it's startdate a bit earlier, like 1600, so that if Byza losts their position there between 1600-1632, they would lose italian culture. That would make it harder for Byza to keep it's position there in MP environment.
