While not necessarily 'graphics', this site hosts many good pictures: http://europeanhistory.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http://www.worldwar1.com/dbc/dbc2.htm

Your image link is broken, but if you mean this flag:

then I'm almost certain it does say "Chinese flags". Certainly the character on the left is the symbol for China (or, technically, for "middle", as in "Middle Kingdom")

I've found Mahnovshchina flag in one of my books today! It's even more absurd/funny than the whole Bat'ka Makhno state... It's a black banner with a silver (white) skull in the middle, two crossed bones (pirate style) below, a hammer in the top left corner (along NW-SE axis) and a sickle in the top right corner (along the NE-SW axis). The source stated that it was one of many flags used, so perhaps there were others. But I like this one
Cheers
Unfortunately not. The book is too expensive for me to buy at the moment and they wouldn't let me scan it. But the picture was just a drawing by some artist, not an actual photo, so that's not a problem a twenty minutes session with some graphics program wouldn't solveOriginally posted by Allenby
Sounds interesting! Any chance of scanning it and giving it to the flag specialists for conversion?

I've attempted some research, to no avail.
Probably those warlords didnt think much of being proper nation states, just "me me me".
Maybe we'll just have a flag with those Chinese characters on it, although I have no idea how to make one.....
