So far I've determined that the problem is located in the armies section of the save. You set custom names for the legions, right? It's probably the cause, but I don't know why yet.
Yeah, I did, actually, let me check two things.
Edit 1:
I narrowed it down to two things, as of now, mod had converted, will check if it works with CK3, but, what seemed to bork conversion was either Latin Numerals (going from 1 to 25) or overly long names, not sure which as of yet.

Could you upload a save with the edits? Might be useful for me.

For now I pushed a temporary fix, so please update to release 3.0.1 and check if the original save also converts now :)

Worked for me:
Sure! (Also, The after-edit works perfectly fine in CK3.)
The edit that I made was simple, as I just had removed all Latin numerals (Arabic are fine, it seems. Or at least singular 2 is fine.), and cut all the names down to their basics. This one is compressed though, I hope that's fine?
Currently, converting previous save, will edit when I am done with result.
EDIT:
Yep, everything works fine! Thank you for all your help! Looking forward to that Punic split work coming in the future!

Also, I had an issue when converting my Albion game to CK3. Despite the fact that Albion is an Empire-Tier title in Imperator, the title converted as a Kingdom-Tier realm, which is not correct. I couldn't seem to find a way to fix this problem, I could just be missing something.

I'm having issues with the development conversion. I was doing an observer game with the timeline extender, but the converted development barely changed despite imperator playing for another 150 or so years. It also doesn't seem to be related to civilization? Is this because of the mod?

What do you mean? Imperator has no such country rank.

Is it possible for when meroitic/nubian kemetic states are converted from imperator, their religion is kushitism instead of kemetic? It would make more sense imo.

Upload save and converter's log.txt.

Upload save and converter's log.txt.
I think it was a misinterpretation, as Imperator has the Empire Government-type, which is what Albion gets once it is formed, which isn't a country rank (though it is a tier 3 formable, not sure how that's taken into consideration), so I guess I misunderstood what exactly that meant.
anyway, here they are. If you want the unedited save file (with the real date unchanged) I can give you it.

Hi,

I'm trying to convert my Imperator file to Crusader Kings 3. The conversion seems to work, but when I attempt to actually chose a country/character to play, the game goes to the loading screen for the character selection but never finished initializing. I edited the files of Imperator so that I could have a custom character, so that might be why it isn't letting me actually play. Please let me know if you're able to identify the problem--I thought changing the starting date of CK3 from 743 to 867 would fix the problem, but it doesn't seem to have done so.

What version were you using? Also, check if antivirus didn't remove the converter exe.
would it be possible for the governorships to not be of the same color as their country? this really makes it difficult to decipher the boundaries
Yes, they are planned to have different colours.
