Hey guys, huge fan of the mod and I apologise if this is the wrong place to ask. But is there any chance of scenario's before Aegon the Conqueror being added? Maybe the Andal invasion or something a rather. Just a thought!

Always such a sweet sight...
Though I do wish you could take queens as salt wives.

Also...

This looks really cool, man. How does one go about installing it, though?

That's a really cute queen.

Just copy-overwrite Valyrian_steel.csv into your mod's localisation folder, and the contents of the gfx folder into gfx/traits.

You can...take queens as salt wives that is, unless its a bug. I have a save playing as the grandson of euron with the stormlands and westerlands under the iron islands crown, i capture the current queen of the iron throne and have an option in the intrigue menu to take her as a salt wife. I do so and immediately gain her holdings including the iron throne itself. Kinda seems too easy :p

Thanks for that. Looking forward to trying it out :)

Oh really? Doh, I was trying to do it via the Diplomacy menu instead of Intrigue. Thanks a lot, I'll do that next time ^_^

I was about to try out that minimod, but... PAAAAAAAAATCH

Well, update leads to crash :(
I hate AND love Paradox for this.

Will there be an update soon for the new update?

*goes to /steamapps/common/ folder*

*copies Crusader Kings 2 folder*

*pasts on desktop*

*rename to Crusader Kings 2 - 1.103 version*

.... my desktop is getting really patch cluttered at this point.

Could you go into more detail about how this works please?
I copied it, but the game still crashes, how do I actually revert to the previous version?

You have to do that before update - past the update, you actually copy 1.11, not 1.103.

Currently, that's not an option; Steam doesn't have a 1.10x patch available for reversion at the moment. If you have the Gamers Gate version, reinstall the base, track down a 1.10x patch (shouldn't be too hard; google is your friend), install that, copy it over, download the current Gamers Gate patch.

If you do have steam, the only option is to track down a 1.10x download, which is illegal, so I'm not allowed recommend that or provide instructions (and now I strangely find myself missing /gsg/, where in I could provide detailed instructions and links).

To prevent this happening in the future, you can either make pre-emptive copies (copy every single version and only delete after making sure everything works with the new version), or you can open steam library, right click CK2, click on properties, select updates tab, and change to "do not automatically update this game". Since I only open steam up for the express purpose of downloading new CK2 stuff, its never been an issue for me.

...and so my wait begins ;)

Actually, maybe I'll play vanilla for once to pass time. It's been far too long XD

Night gathers, and now our watch begins. It shall not end until a compatibility patch. We shall win no glory. We shall live and die at our post. We are the sword in the darkness. We are the watcher on the walls. We are the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. We pledge our life and honor to the GoT patch team, for this night and all nights to come.

Have patience guys and play EUIV in the meantime. :) Though i'm quite glad i made a backup of my ck2 folder so i can continue playing. HAHAHAHA... ;)

Freaking Steam. I had auto update turned off, and it still decides I need a patch. Hope this is updated soon!

This is because Steam classes CK2 as a multiplayer game and all multiplayer games require that users are up to date. Hence it overrides your decision to not auto update :( sometimes Steam is just downright dumb

Sometimes? More like always. The only good thing about Steam are the sales.

Hi guys! Can someone more tech-savvy than I (as in, all of you) please lend me a hand? I just got a new laptop (HP Envy, Windows 8). For some reason it isn't letting me play CKII! I installed from steam and the icon is on my Desktop but whenever I click, the 1st-run blank "select ur DLC/mod" screen comes up. When I click play, nothing happens. Same thing if I click play on Steam itself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Can't wait for the patch--will it be save-game compatible?
