If I am producing, say, a Pz III medium tank and a Pz IV medium tank, which one goes in my medium tank divison? Can I have two separate tank division templates that uses each one?

I only seem to be able to select medium tank when developing a divsion, without the ability to differentiate.

I just wanted to save trying to upgrade all my Pz III's to Pz IV's and just start a new line and improved medium tank division. Or is this pointless?

Hope this makes sense. Thanks for the help!

In the Division Designer, there's an "Equipment" button:

Click on it, and you'll get a screen that allows you to specify which equipment will be used by that template:

How can I reliably avoid the PzIII/IV template bug?

Situation: Udssr treaty *should* give the templates, but sometimes doesnt. Thought I figured it out - yet again left without templates...
I thought it only gives templates if you have good relations with them? I don't think it's a bug.

Sorry nope. If you got the research bonusses you must also get the template variants. I get the research bonus, but not the template variants.

Another question about equipment. So I created a Pz IV template with 7 medium tanks. And I wanted it to only have Pz 3 and my new PZ 4 tanks.

But looking at the equipment list, I see that there are light and even old heavy tanks selected as available for use. So I begin unselecting everything but my PZ 3 and PZ 4s. But the overall stats of the unit begin to go down when I do that. How is that possible?? Shouldn't getting rid of older, weaker tanks improve the division, not weaken it?

SO not sure what is going on here. Any advice on using the correct equipment in my new tank divisions?

Edit:
So doing some more research into this... does the light tank models have to do with my armored recon company??

Do you have enough equipment to fill all the battalions with the limited types permitted -- and if so, have you waited long enough for the replacement equipment to get there? Unit stats scale down when equipment is missing. And it can* take significant time for replacements to arrive at a unit -- weeks, depending on the logistics to the unit's location.

* Or at least "could". I don't know if NSB made any changes to equipment and manpower delivery times.

"Armored recon" does need light tanks, yes (24 of them). "Light armored recon" uses armored cars.

I have a question regarding supply and the tool tips. I am in supply mode. On the left I am hovering over the supply hub. Here it's saying my 11 divisions demand 4.5 supply.
Then on the right, same province, I hover over the 11 divisions. Here it says supply demanded 27.46.
Can you explain why the difference or maybe am understanding it wrong. What exactly is each one trying to tell me?

They are all medium tanks, each using 2.7 supply. 2.7 * 11 = 29.7. The 27.46 looks right. Maybe getting some bonus being under a general.
Still don't know what the 4.5 Demanded supply is for in the left picture

Can I move ships between fleets?

Right now I am forced to merge the two fleets and completely rebuild them inorder to move one ship..
Yes, my preferred method is selecting the ships (left click, hold control to select multiple) and right clicking the task force icon of the new task force in the top right fleet overview

Best Inf templates for USSR, defensive. I have always used 24 width, inf with various support and use the GBP doctrine. I now read that this is sub optimal. Ideas?
Due mainly to the large amount of forests, I recommend 21 width for the USSR. GBP is acctually a good doctrine now, but one of it's main defensive features is entrenchment, which you are likely to lose on repeated german cycle charges (which often happens in weak spots). Also for the offense, you need to use the planning bonusses handed to you, which can be a bit of a restriction on how you conduct battle.

It says that hub currently needs 4.5 supply to fully* supply 11 divisions that are in its range. Number next to hub displays pretty much the same thing, rounded down.
*considering their location

Easy version? What they demand vs what they get.

If the hub tool tip (the left one) shows what they get, then it's poor labeling: "Provided Supplies" would be clearer.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if there are 4.51 supplies provided to the division (hub tooltip), why does the division tooltip on the right says:

"Supplies received from: 9.19
- State: 2.89
- Supply Hubs: 6.30"

Why 4.51 on the hub tooltip, 6.30 on the division tooltip?

I guess, they are in range of another hub (or several).

I really really, really wish someone had the answer to this. I am sure this is frustrating for about 95% of the fanbase (including me). Thanks for asking and please, keep on asking.

Obviously it should be one tool tip says it all. So in your example, it should say (in one window), "Divisions 11 (27.26)" "Supplies from State 2.89" "Supplies from Hub (20)" So you would see a deficit of 4.37 [27.26-2.89-20). If there is some impact of other things (maybe infrastructure or weather?) then tell us in that ONE window.

What are benefits of "paramilitary training" or that equivalent for other ideologies?
I do not see why I would want to spread my ideology to my puppets, expensive and what is a point?

When does Spain lise its strategic reasons to not ally Germany? I thought I could ally them after completing the focus alliance with Spain.
I think they have to meet certain criteria. If you're playing historical, they are loathed to join any faction. But you complete the focus, and have 100% opinion of them, and them high opinion of you. Plus they must be fascist. I have had them join Axis before, but it's quite late into the game. You could try using a diplomatic spy to form a better opinion? Sometimes works wonders.

If they are not fascist they never ever get into the Axis?
