If they are not fascist they never ever get into the Axis?
Almost never: if someone at war with the Axis declares on them, they'll be sufficiently more inclined to join that it's usually enough to overcome the other modifiers.

Usually. RNG is still a thing, and non-aligned Nationalist Spain had a lot of modifiers to overcome.

If you're playing historical, they are loathed to join any faction. But you complete the focus, and have 100% opinion of them, and them high opinion of you. Plus they must be fascist. I have had them join Axis before, but it's quite late into the game. You could try using a diplomatic spy to form a better opinion? Sometimes works wonders.

It's unfortunate that Spain has to be fascist to join the Axis peacefully, as they always stay non-aligned in my games. It sounds like completing the German focus "Alliance with Spain" isn't enough to get them to accept a faction invite if they are non-aligned.

I wonder, If the Germans win the war with the Allies before Barbarossa, would Spain be more inclined to join once they are completely surrounded by the Axis?

AFAIK on historical mode AI-controlled Spain is rigged so that it will basically never join a faction except in extreme circumstances.

Why is my infantry unit taking the long way to go to province right next to it? This is near Leningrad, and can't figure it out. The terrain is both forest? Having this in other parts of northern Russia. It's making my grand pincer movement plans rubbish! ;)

Give a coup after the SCW ends. They have low stability and lots of fascist support.

The terrain is impassable. The bluish "foggy" part is a water body you cant pass.

What are benefits of "paramilitary training" or that equivalent for other ideologies?
I do not see why I would want to spread my ideology to my puppets, expensive and what is a point?

I have to repeat question, as some one deside to ask other befor I resieve any replies, very inpolite.

Costs PP, increases fascist support in the country and gives some xp and a nice popup.

Bottom line: never do it.

Ok, the northern part of that doesn't appear to have a lake between the two province but I can live with that. This is a bit south and west. Here I had a unit go to the tip. Then I way pointed him one further to the right and he does the end around. Last picture is just of the terrain. It's just forest to forest. I thought it had something to do the the red, but that is just the front. It's like that all the way down the frontline.

No clue what is going on in your game. Also those pictures are too small to really see it all.

Looks more like some weird bug in your isntallation. Reinstall, check files?

PS: What I didnt check, it may also reduce puppet autonomy. But even then: avoid.

Thanks. I thought there might be something I wasn't understanding but will chalk it up to something being messed up. I did a check files and said all was ok, but maybe something is just corrupt in the save

That is basically correct. That's why I suggested using a diplo spy to persuade them.

So Estonia turned fascist in historical without a civil war or anything, and now they are asking me to enter the Axis.
How does Estonia being part of the Axis plays out when the USSR drops its ultimatum? Will Estonia reject it and get me into a war with the Soviets in 1940? Greece and Yugoslavia reject ultimatums if they are guaranteed or part of a faction after all...

I believe I see in your pics you have a 1 Division army for the entire front. A one division army on a front that large is so jacked-up, who knows what craziness that causes. Re-open your turn and make sure many more division are included in that "Army 1" move and see if things appear more normal.

OK, so I've looked it up, and yes, Estonia refuses the ultimatum if in a faction, and the USSR gets a wargoal. What happens when the USSR declares war on Estonia? Am I automatically drawn into the conflict?

Estonia will likely ask all its faction members to join the war. You can say no, but any AI-controlled, non-puppet member of the Axis can join the war for AI reasons.

Well then I guess it's having the Estonia wants to enter your faction notification permanently at the top of the screen and not knowing when other countries want to enter the Axis until 1940.

Can you send your save file and the list of mods you're using? If you don't have mods, what's the checksum in the main menu?
