Is these some way to easily find out how many divisions there are in the field for a particular template? That is needed to calculate equipment needs and decide whether to make intermediate templates to ease the transcition. Don't want wasteful surplus or dangerous shortage.

Thanks.

Click on the army button ( top right of the main screen). That shows every division assigned to a theatre. In the division overveiw page click type to sort them by template type, then count them. It will be easier if they have a number in their name.

The logistics button near the top left of the main screen shows the shortage or surplus of each equipment type its handy.

Can someone explain the -50% Carrier overcrowding?

Does this mean if a Carrier has say.. 55 slots for aircraft, I can put 1.5x the amount of aircraft on the CV and not have any penalty? so 82 planes?

No, it appears to mean you can have more carriers in a fleet without them overcrowding each other with limited air room - i.e. normally 4 carriers max, but this allows 6 without penalty. Something like better air traffic control, it appears.

I have troops on a front line. Of the 14 or so units, four of them have a yellow "!" and when I mouse over that it says that they "cannot move to a province along it's patch". I do have a battle plan to advance a short distance into Italy (from France) if/when war breaks out.

What exactly does this mean? Is it because enemy troops are located in front of them whereas the others are "uncovered"? Is it a terrain issue? Thanks for any help.

There is probably more than one answer here, but I've noticed it when the main plan of action is not in front of that part of the front, i.e. they would have to go through another country or transit along the friendly front to advance. I don't think it's a problem in most cases, unless you're seeing it for most of the army.

I have some old tanks in storage. Is there any way to use the hulls for SP artillery ? Like what happened in real life ? Or do all SP artillery things have to be built from scratch ?

They can't be converted currently, so yes you'll have to build new ones.

If i disband all of my units as Spain but queue up and train multiple divisions but not deploy them, when the civil war starts, will the enemy also not get any units?

Is this an exploit or gamey or something? I dont know any details, but ive had this idea after seeing how civil wars work.

Queue ist halved also.

Got to recruit screen and hover over the delete button of a template. There it tells you exactly how many use this template.

Build from scratch

I have another question, about expeditionary forces that other countries have sent to yours. They replace losses from the parent nations manpower, don't they ? I.e. if France has sent some expeditionary forces, then when those divisions take casualties, then the losses are replaced from France's manpower, right ?

I am planning to buy a new laptop. Has anybody any experience how HOI IV is running on an i5 6th gen. with Intel 520 integrate graphics?

Is there a way to force naval movement over land movement?
I control two ports and want an army to move from on to the other over sea rather than land, as there'd be significant time savings (not to mention supply).

Anybody know?
