Some of my carriers start the game with a less than full air complement. How do I change the air complement, to get it up to full size?
Build the appropriate type of plane (carrier fighter, NAV, CAS), and they'll automatically re-equip the carriers as they become available.

To change the size of the carrier wings, open the carrier like an air base, by clicking on the airplane icon on the upper-right of the fleet. You should get a box with all the carriers and each of their air wings. Click on the bottom number for the sizes and set them to whatever you like. (The top number is the current value; the bottom is the maximum.) The total should sum to no more than the carrier's deck capacity. You can also delete wings with the red trashcan button, if you don't want a particular type of plane that the carrier starts with.

How has the new autonomy scale affected how communists can communize friends and neighbors as a war goal or a peace term? I'm surprised to see a red X over can force ideology change now. Does that mean a change in intial war goals? Or in peace terms chosen? This is the Cape Commune liberating Africa, or trying.

I've got ~5k fighters in Northern France. The enemy has ~2.6k Fighters and ~1.5k bombers/support aircraft. Ive built level 2 radar in all the provinces. I'm unable to get any air superiority because there is practically no combat going on.

I've got all of the fighter-related doctrines and my fighters have enough range to cover 100% of the area. Why is there absolutely no combat going on at all? I can't launch any paratrooper strikes because I just cant get air superiority.

I've noticed some weird things going on with both air combat and bombing missions since the DLC was released. Unfortunately I don't think it's likely that Paradox will be able to fix any bugs before the new year...

Switched over to Paraguay and Soviets to check and they both have the "Can force government of another country to adopt hte same iedology' x-checked in red.

So as leader of Axis i should be the one who invites factions to Axis. But some reason they just keeps joining me even i dont ask them or even turn them to Facist.
Demoratic Norway joined Axis, Hungary, Bulgaria, Sweden, Finland ect ect ect and i ASKED NONE of them. This ruined whole game, gg im done with this game. IS THERE mod for this to fix this horrible thing ?

I dug out my old question which still bugs me.

I recently tried playing with historical game being turned off. I repeatedly read that people got Poland give up Danzig but i have not yet seen that after 1.0.

My strength in army/air/navy is very well above the ratio 1:0.7 vs. Poland with 1.1 million soldiers in the field. World tension is at 22%, no guarantees to Poland by Allies in sight yet. Poland is in no faction at all.

Unlike in HoI 2/3 i seemingly cannot interpret the event correctly. What conditions must be met so that Danzig gets handed over without war?

Can anyone help please?

Can anyone please explain the logics of the new event mechanics to me?

As an example i have put the 'Danzig or War' event below. So exactly which conditions must be met to have Poland cave in?
Is it possible in 'historical mode' at all?

Code:

To avoid creating a new thread, i am digging this standard thread out:
I know that i can see which of my ship got sunk in the naval overview page.
But is there a page where i can see the ships i have sunk without going through every single fleet one by one?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Complete noob here, just got the game with the first DLC. Are there any mods that I should get? Something like Death & Taxes was for EU3 perhaps? Also, what's a good first game?

How do I rename divisions?
Rename divisions by selecting the army, then click the division icon to call up its information pop-up. There you may edit the name. It works like any text editor, so cutting and pasting will also work. You may also edit the division names and numbers in the training screen, as well as by renaming the division on the division designer screen.

Question - can front lines be stretched over more than one country border? I haven't figured out how to extend my Netherlands front line south to cover Belgium and Luxemburg.....
Not while they are neutral; once you are at war with them your fronts will extend on their own, so be prepared to micro that. It would be nice to define an advance corridor for every army group to keep them from wandering about so much.

Any way to unattach divisions from a particular order other than deleting the order and re-doing?

Cntrl H does the job. The divs then have the red exclamation mark.

Cntrl mouse click to add them back to an plan or front line

How do you meet the conditions for the First Ljubljana Award? I can't access the entire Balkan Event Chain even though Yugoslavia has capitulated.

In particular, I can't get this:

>One of the following must be true :

>{ All of the following must be true:
>Yugoslavia exists
>At peace with YUG
>Owns Slovenia }

>{ All of the following must be true:

>Yugoslavia does not exist

>Owns Slovenia
>Owns Vojvodina
>Owns Macedonia
>Owns Dalmatia
>Owns Montenegro }
The first bit of code states that Yugoslavia must still be on the map, and must control Slovenia, and that you [Germany] must not be at war with Yugoslavia. The second bit requires that you own all of those states, and that Yugoslavia is not in the game anymore. I believe it cannot still be a Gov't in Exile, either. So to pursue that tree further, you have to defeat whatever faction is hosting their GIE.

[I edited out something from an earlier reply that was still in draft]

What are the current rules determining if a nation is a "Major Power"? The Wiki states, with respect to number of factories:
within top 7, or 70% of top 7, but 35 factories minimum

The question is, 70% of what exactly? Let's say I have 35 factories, but that's not enough to be in the top 7. If I have 70% of the 7th in the top list, am I a major?
