Is it possible to decide where newly constructed ships should be deployed? Ran into some trouble as USSR, as I wanted an Atlantic Fleet but stuff kept deploying in the Black Sea ...
Yep. You can pick specific ports or fleets. You simply have to click on the bar above the production lines, same place where production efficiency is for land/air production. It looks like an anchor with a word next to it. It would say "Auto" for ships/submarines and "Stockpile" for convoys by default. Once you click on it, a list will pop out.

How do I rename fleets from their automated generics please?

^Select a fleet. Click on the name of the fleet. You will then be able to delete and rename the fleet. Beware that, in the English version, all letters are in capital form, but will only be in capital case if you use shift.

I know you can release nations and return territory. As a democracy, can you not create puppets?

Democratic countries can't puppet countries in peace conferences. You know, because freedom and stuff.

Hello, I've a very specific question. I consider myself rather new to the game. I was playing Japan and I had prepared myself for attacking the British. So I had made a few corps with marines and wanted to do a double coördinated amph. assault from Formosa (Taiwain). To my suprise I had diffculties in making multiple battle plans for amph. invasion. It was so cumbersome and I figured out that I would ask the forum. So = how to coördinate a multiple amph. invasion as Japan (f.e. to Hongkong, and one to French Indochine). Thanks

You can only make one plan per origin port ( to prevent getting around the preparation time that increase the more divisions you add )

There is also a total limit on how many divisions you can assign to plans dependent on transport tech in the bottom of the naval tree which is easy to miss.

Thanks, seems to explain my problems.

What conditions cause the Spanish civil war usually to trigger?
The short answer: elapsed time after the 1936 elections, with some random variation, and some possible blocking/delaying conditions like other wars.

Code from the event file:
Code:
# Spanish Civil War
country_event = {
    id = spain.1
    title = spain.1.t
    desc = spain.1.d
    picture = GFX_report_event_spain_civil_war_soldiers

    fire_only_once = yes

    trigger = {
        NOT = { has_global_flag = scw_over }
        tag = SPR
        has_defensive_war = no
        NOT = { has_government = fascism }
        date > 1936.2.16 # Trigger at some point after 1936 elections
    }

    mean_time_to_happen = {
        days = 151 # Historical outbreak time after elections
    }
...
# Spanish Civil War if Franco is elected
country_event = {
    id = spain.10
    title = spain.1.t
    desc = spain.10.d
    picture = GFX_report_event_spain_civil_war_soldiers

    fire_only_once = yes

    trigger = {
        NOT = { has_global_flag = scw_over }
        has_country_flag = SPR_communist_civil_war
        has_defensive_war = no
        date > 1936.2.16 # Trigger at some point after 1936 elections
    }

I just started playing again after the last patches, and now Adolf's picture is missing his face, I'm in Norway and we don not have the german restrictions.Anybody have an idea on how to solve this issue?

1.3.1 PLaying as italy but whats the exact trigger for Germany to fire vichy (ai historical on)? It does not fire or has anyone else a better experience?
Complements for the pacific! at least its exciting over there!

There was a thread on this a few weeks ago. Search for it to find the exact code, as someone pasted it into the thread.

Best we could tell, if Italy takes too much of Southern France, AI Germany will decide against creating Vichy.

Experienced divisions and changing templates:-

A couple of scenarios with a ? at the end

1) If I have a LARM division and wish to replace some/all with MARM (or HARM etc), do all of the 'new' units have to start from zero xp again?
Similarly with INF and MECH etc ART/MART/RART (rocket).

Note that that these are not expansions to the template, but re-equipping the regiments in the division.

2) Say I have an INF division, of 7INF 2ART, I then want to change the template to (for example) 6INF 3 ART, that 1 INF manpower goes back into the manpower pool, with all the gained XP lost (I assume)?

I've played several rounds with Germany, but never got Finnland into my alliance after the "White Peace" with the Sovjets.

All the other historical allies are joining on time. What should I do?

==

Rockets:
- I have the bases
- I gave the commands to attack South-England
- but it seems, nothing happens

Is any one having issues with the Spearhead command? I had a single infantry division assigned (all I had spare to just test the feature at the time), everything seemed assigned to the correct parts of the plan, the tick was green, I was at war with the target but when I activated the plan the division just wouldn't move.

I was not supporting it with any other troops on that front though my ally had units there. The plan was 1 tile wide and about 3 long.

Playing as the UK with the latest DLC and the beta patch.

I'm trading with British Malaya for their oil. It says they have 18/18 available, and they are not trading with anyone.
As soon as I start to trade with them for it, it continously flicks back and forth between not enough resources to fufill trade request and actually working, like multiple times per second. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Rockets work much like expendable strategic bombers, with a much higher attack value and 100% casualty rate on each mission. Select the air wing (rocket wing) in the rocket base and order it to strat bomb your target air zone.

Range on early rockets is very short, especially given the range calculations. I don't know exactly how they measure range, but to me it seems to be taken from the center of the province with the rocket site / air base to the center of the target region. Useful for calculating region coverage for regular aircraft, perhaps, but it means those 500 / 640 km ranges on early rockets are quite short indeed, hardly able to make it across the Channel. Only the level III rockets have a decent range (and that jumps up to ICBM levels). Are the numbers of rockets you have dropping? The "no retreat" option for rocket wings means the launches will outrun production, so the number should decline to 0. ("Normal operations" will keep a relatively steady pace.)

Strat bombing doesn't provide a lot in the way of visible effect on the main screen. You can check your war score to see if the amount you get from bombing is going up. You can also click the details screen in the target air region (the button looks like a graph zig-zagging upward, in the upper right near the close button) to see if you're bombing any buildings. You could also look at the individual states to see which buildings are damaged -- or if you lack the intel, you could tag switch to the target country to get a better look.
