Yes, when starting the game, click on game rules before confirming the character selection, and select either equality or inverted for gender equality, as you prefer. Alternatively, if you play long enough you can eventually change things such as religion and laws in your country to make women equal.

Is there any downsize to heaving a high levy obligation to your liege? I don't see any "lost" troops in my levy stat because of my vassalage and you don't seem to pay for levies raised by your liege anymore.

I bought CK3 but I haven´t got it yet. It was a prepurchase from Paradox Plaza. I have bought games and dlc there before and never had problems with it. This time, no sign of the activasion key. Help please.

You have to unlock perk in stewardship liefline tree Avaricious, the first one "Golden Obligations" unlocks demanding payment for hooks.

This is something I've been trying to find out as well. It seems like they didn't add this into the game. Hopefully we're either just missing it or they will add it back in because for some of us, it's essential. I like having my game pause at most events that require my attention. I also take a crap ton of screenshots and record everything on a timeline with the dates they happen. I use the pause to stop the game so I can get the screen shot and record the date it happened.

So how are you guys setting up your domain? Given it's difficult to get away from partition succession, I've been thinking of holding all counties in my capital duchy, and then just building as many castles in those counties as possible to hold myself.

Yeah, picking a county for your capital with a lot of baronies and building as many castles as possible is a way to ensure you will always get at least these after succession. Some counties have 7 baronies, which means 5 castles just for yourself (and the temple if your faith is not theocratic).

Why do AI form cadet branches (what's the benefit for them)?

How is head of dynasty calculated - isn't it having the most counties or highest ranking counties? Does it include cadet branches?
