Would it be possible to move thr way point to the jerx instead if deleting it?
Cannot move waypoints. Can't even rename them.

I see only one more possible chance:

Maybe the system error and the refusal to fire was related to the hand-over of the Target ship to the Jerx, rather than being strictly a Proximity Mine issue.

Unlikely... but it offers one last ray of hope.
I hate to be a pessimist, but…

My guess is the code handling the waypoint deletion isn’t cleaning up properly and as a result the proximity mine code doesn’t handle the waypoint disappearing. This would in fact be a wider problem with firing missiles at a waypoint and deleting that waypoint with the missiles in flight!

Yeah, I don't expect it to work.

It's just that when I do these BuOrd tests, I try to test the snot out of it.

I don't give up easily.

Another Troop Transport has arrived at Harmony and is unloading another five sets of STO turrets. Two Tank Brigades and another Infantry Brigade (with attached Artillery) are also en-route.

We have set the protection status of the Harmony star system to "Demand Leave".

So...

Do we fight? Or do we cave in and give them the Harmony star system?

What prevents them from demanding the next star system in the chain? That would cut us off from the Black Hole nexus.

I thought you’d already decided to fight?

Though it looks like we’ll have two separate fronts. Should be exciting enough even for @randakar ! :p

Not that I mean to have any persuasive effect one way or the other. I’d vote for whatever you’d prefer to do—you’re the one managing it! Do what you like best, whatever it is!

I hope they hold off long enough for us to get a Space-port set up on Harmony.

A Space-port can hold any number of Fighters...

Delay as long as possible, I'd say. They aren't sending threats yet. We have 5 days to get more stuff into that system to bolster our claims.

Do they have any military vessels in the system or are those all civilian? If they do, that could be a problem.

The military comes and goes... sometimes in large squadrons.

I'm sending a Space-port now. And more missiles. An Ordnance Station is already set up.

Tricky, then. We need them to be on the other side of the jump point when it comes to war. Maybe wait until they leave, then blockade it. Though that would probably mean we are the ones who start it.

And we need the Børk to not do the same - can we put a protection status on Ax Microscopii and hand them the ZNZ to prevent a second war?

I'm prepared to give the ZNZ to the Bork, yes.

I'd give the NZ to the Modrons, too... but it's Harmony they want, not the NZ.

Yeah, and Harmony isn't easily evacuated and I suspect the next system on our side doesn't have the population to sustain a claim either.

How do you blockade a jp?

BTW, I guess this would be a reason to set up colonies where one can, even if there's not much economic reason to.
Like, colonising every possible body and let it grow organically. To have some population to use in cases ikke this.

Would an Emu ever surrender? Or would they fight through horrendous casualties to conquer in the end?

Edit: I thought you were a Blue Emu, not a Yellow one.

Yellow?

I suppose you can make a case for abandoning Harmony, focusing every thing on the system before it and giving yourself a bit more time. But considering you've already started investing in Harmony I think this will be a net loss in terms of investment.
