It wasn't yet a thing in 1337
It was independent from 1288 onwards. Cologne's archbishop was no longer permitted to enter the city except for liturgical reasons.

What you are referring to is the de-jure elevation to a Free City, but regardless of that the city itself and its surroinding area wasn't owned by Colonia.

any news regarding the Levant culture and religion feedback maps?
It will take a while, we are now focusing more on the review of locations and other aspects of Tinto Maps, and will probably concentrate the pop review in 'batches' later on, as it's now more efficient to do it this way. But we haven't forgotten about any regions with pending pop reviews, don't worry about that. ;)

The shape of the locations surounding the Thuringian forest are definitly prettier. Nice changes. Also thanks for changing the raw Materials in Schmalkalden to Iron and in the new Location Schleusingen to Copper.
It may be sad to see that my hometown Ilmenau got replaced by the redrawing and we lost the Kevernburger County with that change, but i hate to admit that the current Locations had played a bigger role in the first years of the game, so it makes sense, even if it would be the other way around by the end of the games timeframe. Furthermore its nice to see that the new Ohrdruf Location got (if i see it correctly) the Gleichen County as a "replacement" for the Kevernburg.

So overall good changes, keep up the nice work guys! :)

What's happening with around Bremen and Hamburg with the Hanseatic League? In the country map mode there is a Hanseatic League tag but in the International Organisation map mode it appears as Brema.

Hanseatic is Overlord of Bremen, country map is set to Overlords by default as can be seen in Silesian vassals of Bohemia

I hope a second quick review of the Low Countries will be done, as it was the first Tinto Maps and review, thus had no standard to be compared to (even though I understand that the priority for this is probably for after every other region has been reviewed). When it comes to changes to the Dutch German border. I don't understand why Kleve and Wesel are in different provinces/areas. A better division would be Kleve and Wezel in Niederrhein and Geldern to Limbourg (the name is still anachronistic and should be Opper-Gelre). This might leave Gladbach isolated, but that location could just as well be in the Julïch province.
Agreed, I spent some time staring at the Netherlands to see if anything's changed but there's still a fair amount of locations and goods I'm not too happy with. That and the language is a bit silly, but I think that's just gonna be a consequence of the game's language system and can't be solved.

I think there were a lot of questions for Angrian and Markish/Brandenburgish (there should be only one of them).

In what way they have been addressed?

Many people argue it is an incorrect division

There are plenty of maps with the dialectal distribution of German, and we have though and discussed it quite in-depth, including our German content designers, of course. We still think this is the best possible division for the region.

sooo

given that even Germany got + 40 locations, any chances about a feedback - feedback of Italy and France?
Why? They already got their reviews.

HRE IO:

This is the updated HRE IO map, with the different categories (Prince-Elector & Archbishop-Elector, Imperial Peasant Republic, Free Imperial City, Imperial Prelate, and Imperial Prince). As usual, take the map mode as WIP (you may notice that it has already changed since the original Tinto Maps post, making it easier to read).

One of our German content designers has reworked the provinces. We've tried to get a balance between those that could directly translate to English, such as the different provinces of Styria, and those that couldn't be translated easily; so for a native German speaker, some will sound a bit weird, but we've tried to be consistent with how we manage it in general.

Harbors:
I've noticed while preparing the Feedback post that we haven't posted the Natural Harbors of Europe, so I'll prepare another separate for them!

Cultures:

There are some adjustments to the cultures, but not big changes.

Languages:

Religions:

Not many changes in the religious map, only a few Waldensians were added to Austria.

Markets:

We haven't changed the market centers, you may notice some differences with the Tinto Maps post, which depend on the constant balancing we keep doing to this feature.

And that's all for today! Remember that on Friday we will be taking a look at a German country, Bavaria. Cheers!

The colour palette for HRE is bad. It is just shades of blue-green (light blue, blue-green, just green, greyish blue, neon blue). Can we have red, orange, yellow, purple, etc?

EU4 for comparison

Absolutely glorious!

So, it appears to me that you do not have dynamic location names turned on, right? It appears that a lot of the locations do not have their names in the common language of their respective countries, or even as the language of majority in their location.

Do the extremely tiny areas like Holstein and Salzburg have any gameplay implications?

In my opinion, the newer colour scheme is even harder on the colourblind eyes than the previous one. Plateau is now barely different from Flatland.. On a different note: did you remove terrain types such as "wasteland mountains", or you just changed the display so that wastelands do not display their terrain type?

Also, I have seen in the Bohemia TF that you have not appeared to fix the Northern Carpathians yet. I hope you will eventually.

I do find it unfortunate that Dalmatian is still part of the Italian language, though I know it is technically not part of this feedback turn, but still I wish you depicted it accurately as a separate branch of the Romance family.

I'm going to point out again that Croatia should also have Latin as court language (something mentioned and immediately lost in the sauce in the dreaded Balkans Feedback thread).

On Bohemia's..... its court language changed drastically between Latin, German and Czech during these centuries, but given that its official/legal language appears to be Latin during this period (see for example the Maiestas Carolina, which also appears in the game as flavour) I would advise for using Latin in 1337. Using Czech as the primarily language of religion (and probably writing in general and as official language?) was a noted and important goal of the Hussites.

Love to see how you changed the colour of Gems to a beautiful and vibrant teal! It does stick out better now. I do see beeswax is present now too, although I can't see any in the HRE but in Italy, Hungary and Poland; maybe give it a honey-gold colour, like orangish?

Although true "orange" should probably be reserved for the secret Saffron hiding in France....

So dynamic location names ARE turned off here, right? Given that Cologne, Prague, Venice etc. are displayed in English, which you confirmed that would change for Market centers too.

Why? They already got their reviews.
Germany got a lot denser, and parts of Italy could certainly benefit from that too, given how little it got in the review. France is in a pretty good shape tho, the only issues are some locations names rather than addition of locations

The most "robbed" place is definitely Anatolia, given its starting density (Italy definitely started off with a great map compared to other regions)
