1. Is the number of electors secular and electors spiritual in the HRE fixed and are they tied to land?

Actually, I don't know.. My team is off doing some fun teambuilding celebration things this afternoon, so I can't ask them.

Out of curiosity will you need to wait a month of game time before needing to declare war or will this game allow for instant day 1 actions to take place? What about cooldowns from sending diplomats?

1 month wait + cooldowns confirmed.

How will Kalmar work then, scripted or another mechanic? I thought while reading this that this was going to be perfect for the Kalmar Union.

Will protectorates make a return? Is dominion a status for colonies or would that be more for the Victoria franchise timeline?

Dominion is a type of subject that has the same ruler as its overlord.

So if for example Ottomans become very big (Or Byzantium in alternative timeline) and start threatening HRE and rest of the Europe, will European countries be able to form Order Of a Dragon or a Holy League to resist it?

Its called "Coalition"

This has been discussed many times on this forum and other platforms, but the general consensus among the community is that different diplomatic actions/relations should have different costs. For example, guaranteeing independence of a minor nation is not the same an alliance between two powerful states.

However, I think it should work the following way..

An alliance between France and Ulm should cost MORE for Ulm than France.

If the scale of the medieval map doesn’t scare the casual player away then trying to understand diplomatic capacity won’t.

its the "this is worth 3.223 capacity now"

So will Unions act like indipendent countries and be totally autonomous from us?

mostly yes, unless the union becomes more formalized.

Does the black part of the map at the east mean that we get progressive map unveiling once more ?

(i'm comparing to CK3, VK3 and Imperator which lacked this system)

So what is the mechanical difference between being led by a country or a character? Currently if feels like a distinction without a difference.

Countries does not ALWAYS have a ruler.

and if its character, if that character dies, a new leader has to be picked etc..

In real life.. USA is always the leader of NATO, even though the ruler of USA has switched quite a few times since 1945
