i can not start 1337 scenario with any country. it says something about u35.inc file while loading scenario... then it quits

Yes, this is another case of not reading the instructions before installing/playing.

Man, if I had €1 for every time that happened...

You need to install the latest EU2 beta patch. Otherwise, my mod will not work properly.

and that is 1.08. i sure did that. i can start every ather scenario...

Hive, why don't you give him a link to the beta patch? he's confusing the April 21st beta with the 1.08 (we know, he doesn't) DUDE, 1.08 is a patch the april 21st beta patch is like, well, i don't know what beta means but it's like a patch for a patch, not an official patch patch. find a post by Johan, he'll have a link for it. Hive! Maybe you know this? for the 1914-1945 mod, I try to play as Germany (and only Germany so far, maybe there's a bug for them, but I don't know) it loads about a quarter of an inch than that microsoft error message comes up and it takes me back to windows. What am i doing wrong?

and yeah there's regular official patches (1.08) and then **** Johan works on, almost like a mod would except it's a patch of his choosing to overwrite an official patch patch, which is called a beta patch.

HIIIIIIVE.... quick question: is there any major major changes (bug related) from 2.4 to 2.5 that I need to know and what version of AoI would I need to have in order to also run Rome Universalis and 1915-1945? And for Rome Universalis and 1915-1945 what beta patch and regular patch do I need? Good weekend, dude!

I think I already stated pretty clearly in my readme that apart from the regular 1.08 patch, you also need the latest BETA patch. Now if someone doesn't bother to spend 2 min on my readme file, I quite frankly can't be bothered to help. Too many people find it a better idea to complain about supposed errors in my mod here in this thread or by PM instead of just reading the small text file with the convenient name "readme". And it annoys me.

But it's not like it's very difficult to spot the thread with the convenient name "EU2 - 1.08b Beta Patches" anyway...

I have no clue what you are talking about. I have had nothing at all to do with any such mod - hell, I wasn't even aware it existed. So I can't help you.

I can't remember the changes. They are listed in the download thread, though. But IIRC, I didn't change all that much. It was mainly a patch with MP tweaks.

Unless you for some reason install the various mods on top of each other, they shouldn't interfer with each other. But I don't know the contents of the other 2 mods you mention, so I cannot say for sure.

I don't have any idea what kind of EU2 version you need in order to play those other mods - but for AoI, you need 1.08 + latest beta. As my readme says.

Assuming you have enough space, create a new and separate installation of EU2 for each major mod. This involves copying and pasting the EU2 directory structure and then creating an extra shortcut to the new executable.

"Long Live Hive, moderator of AoI 2.6"

Hi Hive! I just downloaded your AoI mod, and I must say that first off - It is a great mod!! It is THE coolest mod for EU2 I have ever played! Thanks for making such an awesome thing for the community! :)

Now second off, I see graphics for Paraguay in there, and Paraguay was an independent nation in 1816, so I'm wondering if you have like monarch files and the text and 1816_paraguay and 1861_paraguay for the campaigns and if you plan to release them in the next release?

Cheers! - SirWellington

Well, as he has stated recently, Hive's not gonna continue modding AoI because he's tired of EU2... although, he has advertise very continously this Mod, so I believe that sooner or later, he will fall again into the arms of the EU2 :p .. so there's still hope in the universe

Ok, and apart of that Hive, I'd like to do some modifications to your AoI in order to do finally an AAR (I haven't done one); the modifications are the ones about the initial configuration of the 1816 scenario and add some events for southamericans contries, the ones I wanted you to add to your mod; so, I'm gonna need your help, at the end of this week I can generate a better idea of what I want so if you have time  ... thanks :)

Well... it was my plan to do so once I made a new map, since Paraguay isn't on the Paradox max - but I no longer work on my map, or AoI at all, so... I'm afraid I'll have to dissapoint you.

My help? Meh... dunno. What kind of help? I'm not doing any new modding, as you already know... ;)

Not about modding, but only to check on free event, monarch and leaders ids; and besides that just your holy approval :D

Ah. Well I have been wise enough to include text files with the IDs I use for monarchs, leaders and events. So you just pick some neither me nor Paradox use.

As for my approval... well, you do what you like as long as you don't release your work as a new version of AoI. :D

 Can't guarantee you that :p ...

To anyone! Do you think in this <insert adjective here meaning something similar to God put something on Earth to save it> of a mod you could include a Seven Years War thread (I mean a French and Indian War thread, we certainly don't want to infringe on the copyrighted material of Ironfoundersson, just steal it ;) haha just a joke Ironfound!) and maybe a 1648 thread called (I don't know  ) just something in the wake of the TYW then add Philip V's Siege of Vienna (1683) mod for a slightly later date for a more recovered Germany? But you definitely need a mid/late 17th century and mid 18th century scenario. And I can't believe I still haven't tried the Age of Mercantilism scenario yet. Does that actually start off with Austria attempting to put down the Protestant rebellion in Bohemia, and then later Brandenburg (and later still Sweden) hopping in? Then of course Spain on the Catholic Austrian side and Catholic France on the Swedish side, simply to spite the Haspburg's putting their faith, livelyhood and daily bread on the Devil's dining room table. Siding with Protestants- the mark of the Beast if I ever did see it. Well all of that should be included with the age of mercantilism scenario, and a nice little chain-of-events series for all countries eventually involved besides the originals of 1618. The chain of events will give each player the option of whether they want to join in or not, on whos side, and maybe some sort of comitment like they had back then such as vassalisation/war, alliance and war, or simply I don't know something else  like a free trade agreement, exchange of discoveries, royal marriange, a +200 relationship all making a future alliance and marriage unavoidable. Because the TYW is hardly if not really at all mentioned in EU.

And maybe one more last and final optional suggestion is can you include in your scenario to the end of the Great War? I think there's a few great war mods, but none of them seem to work on my computer

HELP! Please

Ok, I posted this on another thread that also had the AOI heading, hope this one works. Sorry to bug you all, but I'm having the darnedest time with getting AOI to run. I followed the instructions, and yet when it comes time to load up the scenario, I get an error message, then the game crashes. The game is running with the latest patch. Am I missing something here? Please help, I really want to play this scenario, it looks really good!

The other forum you posted in has a sticky, did you notice? *This Forum is for uploading mods and scenarios only, not for discusions*

As to your problem - Are you really using the latest, beta, patch? This thread is full of people asking the exact same thing. The latest not even a page back. :)

And as general advice when asking questions, saying "latest patch" is not useful info because many, many people believe they have the latest patch when they really don't. Always give the exact version.

Ooops, sorry, my bad on that posting on the stickey forum, didn't realize it until it was too late. As for what version, it is the 1.08 from the Europa Universalis II patch page for whatever was the latest one. There was two links, one that said 1.08 Beta, and 1.08. I assumed that the correct one would have been the non-beta one. Anyhow, the latter is what is on my copy of EUII. I would appreciate any assistance on this matter, thankyou. :D

You need the beta to get AoI to work, that is the problem :D
