If a line starts with # that means it's a comment. We classify stuff depending on where in CK3 files we found it. Has no difference on actual gameplay. Any custom religion can have any tenet, depending on the mapping rules.

For general modding stuff, you should consult the wiki:

There is no concept of russia in base CK3 game, or related timeframe. Support is there for mods that add it, if any do - I really wouldn't know offhand.

We don't add custom mission trees to any nation. If a nation has missions in vanilla EU4, it will have the same ones in a conversion. Otherwise feel free to use Missions Expanded or other mods that add additional missions.
Thank you very much for answering all my questions. Now, I hope the 2 that I'm about to ask are the last ones, at least for a while: according to the Wiki, Ruthenia's state religion is orthodoxy. Does this mean that at the time of conversion from CK3 to EU4, you would recommend turning Ruthenia into orthodoxy, if it wasn't already? Or it's just for the base game, therefore I could convert a save game with no issue where Ruthenia's state religion is reformed Slavic paganism?

And, if that's the case, what about nations that have custom missions on the base game, which include religion-specific missions, like Russia with Orthodoxy or Persia with Shia? If for example, I converted a safe where Persia is not Shia, would it, therefore, be unable to complete those missions?

It's a converter. If you convert a Norse Ruthenia, you get a Norse Ruthenia. If the missions, written for vanilla, require you to be orthodox, then they obviously won't work unless you mod them yourself. Answer to 99% of these questions is "Why not try it and see". Use the console, make a random scenario, convert it and see what you get.

Oh, ok, you got a point. Now, this is related to mod compatibility: I just downloaded a mod that allows you at faith creation to add up to 20 tenets. If I use it to create a faith with 4 or more tenets, it is going to conflict with the converter's proper functioning?

Hey, I decided to try to create a new custom faith, divergent from its parent catholic. that has Rite as one of their tenets. But...with both the multiple tenets mod and without it, the same result: in EU4 there is no such custom faith, only catholic; I even changed into other characters and turned their realms to my new faith. Same result: all catholic. Is this something to do with the effects of the Rite Tenet?

Start by attaching your conversion's log.txt.

OK, I will for both test mods. The first is the one with the custom religion with like 17 tenets, and the other with the vanilla limit of 3...where should I look for this?
If this is your first time using the converters, I strongly recommend you read the GeneralFAQ-READ.ME.FIRST.txt inside the converter folder. log.txt is also inside.

I think that wether HRE is imported from CK3 to EU4 as a shattered EU-4 style HRE or as a fully centralised nation, and how close HRE is to full centralisation in the moment of conversion should depend on the crown authority which the emperor of HRE has in the moment of conversation.
For example:
If the emperor of HRE has crown authority at level 1 in CK3, HRE will transefered as fully shattered mess without any imperial reforms done as it is in vanilla EU4 at the game start.
If the emperor of HRE has crown authority at level 2 in CK3, HRE will still be shattered mess as it is in vanilla EU4 at the game start, but all imperial reforms up to Ewiger Landfriede ( forbids wars between HRE members ) will be done at EU4 game start.
If the emperor of HRE has crown authority at level 3 in CK3, HRE will still be shattered mess as it is in vanilla EU4 at the game start, but all centralisation imperial reforms up to Proclaim Erbkaisertum ( makes HRE hereditary ) will be done at EU4 game start.
If the emperor of HRE has crown authority at level 4 in CK3, HRE will appear on EU4 map as a fully centralised nation, just like all other normal EU4 nations.
P.S. Why HOI4toStellaris converter is not updated for many years?

Oh, Okay, found it, at least for the latest mod, without the multiple tenets.
There is nothing wrong with this conversion. If you have a save where you created a custom faith and have land of that faith and it doesn't convert properly, upload it here. Screenshots would also be helpful so I can see where it is.

HRE imperial reforms (their level) are not a moddable thing. They start empty no matter the date and can't be pre-set. Thus, players can choose how shattered they want HRE to be, no other way around it.

As for HoI4toStellaris, AFAIK it's updated to the patch before current one I think. I don't follow that converter, wouldn't know the details.

Well, here is the screenshot of the CK3 test save with the custom faith.

Hey, I really love the work you've done with the convertor! I would like to ask if the Oriental Empires mod is compatible with the convertor, or at the least on how to mod the converted save file to make it roughly similar to the save game from CK3.

I am not familiar with the mod. Why not try it and see if it works. If not, come here with concrete question about potential incompatibilities.
