I have a problem. Im playing a Revolutionary Spain campaing. The conversion from CK3 to EU4 went well. Ive being playing in EU4 until 1756 with no problem.

Today i deleted some old savegames in eu4 and unsubscribed from some random mods. But when i tried to continue my game (i didnt deleted the latest savefile), the launcher says that im not subscribed to the converted mod, even though i have it in my folders. Any idea how to fix this?

If that's indeed the same mod, move it somewhere else, restart the launcher so it forgets the mod, kill the launcher, move the mod back, and the start launcher again.

Nothing happend.
Its the same with the rest of converted mods.

I tried to make a new random converted save, and it looks like it works. But the old ones dont

This is exactly what it says. "Mod isnt in the disc. Subscribe to it or remove it from the bundle"

This is a launcher issue, not a converter one. Try editing that mod's .mod file and make sure the path is 100% correct. Other than that, it seems your launcher is broken - I really don't know how to help you.

For this converter, if I do a ck3 game as burgundy and use the converter, the burgundian inheritance events go into motion? I think they depend on a flag to do with charles of Burgundy, and that's from game start so I think the converter would have to put in the flag.

Or, seeing how historical burgundian inheritance makes no sense in a conversion mod, you could edit your country's history file and manually place the flag to start that event chain.

So, I've been playing CK3 with a couple of mods on a safe, that I planned on converting to EU4 eventually. But when I tried to convert it, the converter seemed to have an issue with one of the mods, specifically a mod with custom faiths, one of wich I played with and reformed in the safe.

The converter tells me, that there is an improper image header. But I can't make much of that. Any help or a way to fix this would be appreciated.

The error is this:
2024-02-09 01:11:11 [ERROR] CK3ToEU4Converter.exe: ImproperImageHeader `D:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/workshop/content/1158310/2828784490//gfx/interface/icons/faith/mos_majorum_reformed.dds' @ error/dds.c/ReadDDSImage/1698

I assume this is "Papi`s Coat of Arms Packs" mod. We use imageMagick to load DDS files and if IM cannot open the file because the header is broken/corrupted/off, there is nothing we can do about it. You can try to open the file in some DDS editor, and resave it, or maybe just delete the file so the converter skips it.

There isa bug with 1 of Jewish aspects. "Jewish communities" aspect is supposed to give all Jewish provinces a modifier that negates all negative effects from non-accepted culture. However, it only works for OG Jewish religion. Karaites and Samaritans have this 1 particular aspect broken

So what you're saying is - both Samaritan and Karaite can select the aspect "judaism_communities_aspect" but it won't apply unless Jewish? Any ideas what's the issue?

judaism_communities_aspect applies judaism_community_wrong_culture to all provinces of nonaccepted groups. Modifier itself has no stipulations for religion - it's a static modifier. I don't see a problem in the code...

I have an idea, but I couldn't fix it. In "common\church_aspects\05_judaism_aspects.txt" of vanilla EU4 files under "judaism_communities_aspect" we have:

every_owned_province = {
limit = {
religion = jewish
}

and "religion = jewish" refers not to "jewish_group", i.e. all Jewish religions, but only to vanilla EU4 Judaism, the default one. I tried changing it to "jewish_group" and also changing it to OR = {} bracket with karaite and samaritan listed, but neither worked

Hello everyone,
I recently finished playing through my CK3 campaign, to 11 November 1444 and converted the game over to EU4, which after figuring out the pathing for files was done quite easily and quickly (yay!) however, upon conversion my nation (Austria) and all of the electors in the HRE have the "wrong government type" which means that as soon as my ruler (who was the Kaiser in CK3) dies the HRE *immediately* vanishes because -it seems- nobody in the entire Empire has the right government. Base transfer has my government as "Imperial Archduchy" but on setting the government to Administrative Monarch or Autocratic Monarch, I still had the "Wrong Government Type"
What am I doing wrong? What is the *right* government type? I purposefully made a gigantic HRE and balkanized all of the kingdoms I conquered so I'd have a million princes on transfer to EU4 and watching the Empire evaporate is not fun at all!

I konwerted my ck3 save and have bizzare results. Lot of countries have doubled name like " Syrian Syria" or "Zaydian Imamate Zayidi Imamate". France for some reason has a name "Secret Zayidi". Rus converted as Zaydis. All mentionen countries had my Zaydi dynasty on the thrones but i don't see consistency here, some are named after dynasty some are not. And whats with that name of France? Secret Zaydi? Why secret, it was normal Zayid sultanate of France.

How one can disable dynastic names in converter? Maybe that would help.

Out of interest, if I shattered a nation with land in siberia and wanted the converter to clean the siberian quagmire, would those also be cleared?
IIRC only standalone, independent nations, with (I think) less than 5 eu4 provinces, with capitals in Siberia, get deleted.

Please upload your ck3 save and converter's log.txt, and I'll try to debug and see what's going on. It's possible HRE breaks apart due to religious issues, because an imperial archduchy is most certainly not a wrong government type to hold the emperorship. Oooor, maybe if you have no heir/female heir and literally every other HRE member is a republic or a theocracy, but that's really unlikely...

Several issues here.
1. For countries that in CK3 use dynastic names (mainly various islamic nations) we also use dynastic name. Ottimans are a RL example, among many others.
2. Now, trouble starts when there's a TON of countries that have the same dynasty. Secret <something> means we've hit 5th nation of a certain dynasty name, and it's basically meant as a meme but also an indicator there's some manual renaming going to be needed.
3. As far as doubling of names, this can happen when we have to construct out own names for countries out of thin air, and there's likely to be some errors.

Ok, so, what I can do it add an option to the converter's options to disable the dynastic naming system. However for the doubling of names, I really need to see your ck3 save and conversion log.txt. Please upload those here.
