If you have an empire that's the size of entire Europe with 50 cultures inside, you'll have more issues with governing capacity than cultures. However, it's your game, hopefully you can make it work.
Well, its is my plan to restore the Roman Empire, and bring it all the way to Hearts of Iron 4. So yeah, governing capacity will most likely be the main issue.

As a side note: does this mean that the penalties of having not accepted cultures, are not as great as I think they are?
From experience, with a tolerant society and religious uniformity, nonaccepted cultures aren't a big issue.

Hi! I just wrapped up my converted game from CK3 to EU4 and am prepping to move the game over to Vic2. Part of the process for me is releasing all of my wonderfully named colonial nations. Unfortunately, many of them converted to default country name's for the region "eg. United States" instead of my more colorful name for the nation before hand. I'm wondering how I should go about editing the mod to change the name for the id "USA" to what I want it to be (as so on for my other former colonies) so I can convert to vic2 with those names – I don't want to change the main eu4 files, ideally because I want these names for this megacampaign only. I've attempted to edit via the converted_custom_countries_l_english.yml and the converter_l_english.yml files but both have ended up just blowing up the naming system all together, most of the countries taking on their ids as their names and a few of my custom nations from CK3 were reset to their default names (so from Prussia back to Pomerania, etc.). I'd love any guidance y'all can provide to, urm, well, modify my mod.

If this happens you messed up updating the localization files and game chose to ignore them. A loc entry in a file should be [space]key: "some value".

That makes sense. I think the formatting is right; it matches up with the convertor created custom countries. Is there a specific file I should edit in the mod to replace countries that already exist in-game with custom names?

Heya, so how do I enable formable nations?

I started as an Andalusian nation in CK3, aiming to form Al-Andalus in EU4, but the decision isn't there?

I meet all the pre-reqs afaik. It's not that I can't select the decision, it's that it's not there.

You fail on one or more of the above. This is is a vanilla decision, we don't alter it or interfere with it. You're either wrong culture or not in right place, or not muslim, or one of the wonky triggers is interfering like norma/historical or custom nation. You can temporarily edit the vanilla decision so it's less restrictive, or ideally just copy it over into the mod and edit it there until it works.

Hi guys!
I'm trying to convert CK3 save to EU4, but I'm getting this error:
[ERROR] Character 148313 has capital 0 which has no definition!

I've tried killing these characters and then searching them using console, and I found out those are leaders of various mercenary companies.

Is there a way to destroy all the mercenary company titles from the savegame or maybe there's another solution?

Upload log.txt from converter's folder please.

Sure. Thanks
There are several issues with your save. It's a 1.4.4 save but you have 1.3.0 installed? There's corruption in the save possibly due to removed mods in the middle of a run.

I've patched the converter to ignore those errors and produce something. You can redownload it from the first post of this thread.
