Converter says it is unable to find its own Output Folder. Tried converting my save game, it gets to "converting save" and pops up another version of the save game editor. If I close out of that new window, this appears in the error log:

2021-12-10 20:44:40 [INFO] Frontend configuration loaded.
2021-12-10 20:44:40 [INFO] Frontend options loaded.
2021-12-10 20:44:40 [INFO] Previous configuration located, preloading selections.
2021-12-10 20:44:46 [INFO] Converter exited at: 5 seconds.
2021-12-10 20:44:46 [NOTICE] Mod Copying Started.
2021-12-10 20:44:46 [ERROR] Copy failed - where is the converter's output folder?

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: For anyone else looking for an answer, I solved this issue by re-installing the software.

Thanks for the log and save. I'll dig into it later this week, hopefully tomorrow.

I tried it out on my system and everything worked just fine. I'd verify the integrity of your CK3 install via steam.

Yeah, I got it on my laptop. That's really strange though. I did verify the files of both EU4 and CK3 via steam and both said all files were good, and still it would fail at that part no matter what. However, on my laptop it went through on the first try.
Thanks though!

One of my first times using the converter and my mod is available in the playsets but when launching the game hasn't changed. IM not exactly sure what all information I need here but any help would be much appreciated. If there anything else I need to post or if the attached file isn't the right thing then ill gladly provide more. Thanks!

You have not enabled the playset on launcher main page.

Out of curiosity, what operating system is on the computer that failed?

Its shows that its enabled and I've selected it under the play button on the launcher. Unless im missing something else.
Screenshots should do wonders. Seeing the contents of your mod folder can help.
What you are describing usually happens when there's a collision of two mods with same name.
Or, sometimes, people export the mod to a wrong location (eu4 installation) and it doesn't get loaded from there).
Try exporting the game to a fresh new named-mod (there's an option in the options tab to rename the mod) and create a fresh playset for that new mod alone, see if it helps.

So I was able to figure it out and I'm excited to finally run my own grand campaign. Thank you guys.

I do have a few questions though. I plan on running the converter again to clean the map up some and fix a few things, namely:
-changing the color of a country
-changing the name of a country
-using the empire split note that can split up other empires like the HRE

any help appreciated.

---For the record I think I did have the wrong directory for eu4

First, beware that changing mods means you are a modder. As such it's up to you to familiarize youself how to mod the game, using the wiki for example.
You do the first two by editing your country's history and common and localization files once conversion's done and changing the name and country to whatever you want.
The third you do via the instructions in the launcher and appropriate files in configurables.

Please come back when you have concrete questions.

Is there a video tutorial anywhere, by chance? I've loaded up the CK3 mod, launched it, and saved it. Went to open EU4 and I don't see the mod listed anywhere. I may have misunderstood the wiki, but it sounded like it was supposed to create that for me?

If it makes any difference, I'm playing through Steam.

Here are my mod folders from documents. I'm not sure if you need the ones from Steam or if these help. If anyone is willing to help, please let me know if there's other info or other screenshots you'd need. I appreciate you!

There is a tutorial on YouTube.

Now, based on the pictures you sent, there is definitely no mod. When you launch the converter, what is the directory that you are sending the mod to? You select where the mod goes, so perhaps you sent it to the wrong place?

I think you missed the whole "Converter is not a mod, it's a mod-producing application."
Where is your converter? Did you download and unpack it? Did you run it? Steam mods are not intended to be enabled in-game as they only carry converter download links.

Hello, friends.
I converted save from ck3 to eu4, on second time I was satisfied with result.
But, I played through 1473 year already, and renaissance institution didn't started yet.
Can it be some failure from converting?
Thank you in advance.

No. It will fire when it fires. That's up to EU4.
