CK3 to EU4 Converter Release Thread

I am recieving "Another program is currently using this file" error when trying to launch the converterfrontend.exe file, then the .exe deletes itself, and I then recieve "access is denied" when I am trying to re-extract it from the .zip file. Same set of actions occur with and without my anti-virus and have tried both WinRAR and 7-Zip to re-extract to no avail. Only when I redownload the .zip file am I able to extract it once again but the same set of events occurs.

Any suggestions? This is only occuring to the converterfrontend.exe file. All other files extract perfectly fine.

That's definitely the actions of an antivirus of some kind. Is it possible you have a second on your system?

Is there any concideration of adding support for any mod that will expand map into Far East provinces? In the near future me and my group of friends are gonna start new megacampaign from CK3 to HoI4 and as I followed your patchnotes some time ago you've given support to some minor Korean mod which added Far Eastern provinces into CK3 map. That would be awesome

I really can't promise anything. Support for mods requires either the mod is dead and won't be changed in the future or that someone actively monitors the changes and updates the patches. I don't have time for the latter as I'm not playing those mods. The support for that Korean mod was dropped due to same reasons.

No, I don't. It seemed to be related to the .exe file lacking an image for some reason. After creating a shortcut and using that to access the .exe file, the issue was fixed and I can now use the converter. Yay!

when i try to convert my game an error pops up that writes: C/ProgramFiles... does not contain Crusader Kings 3! But i am absolutely sure that is my installation folder. Any ideas as to what can be the issue?

Please upload log.txt from the converter directory.

Enabling and/or disabling mods during a run can lead to savegame corruption. Try enabling back whatever mods you disabled - especially those that deal with coats of arms.

Either you didn't unpack it correctly or your antivirus ate the converter. Converter folder is inside the zip you unpacked.

No, not really. Those named (premade) hybrids that exist are linked somewhere if possible, but for truly random custom cultures there's no frame of reference.

When I extract the file from the .zip file, Webroot will tell me that "win32 localinfect.2" is found in the converterfrontend.exe file, and won't let me download it. I don't want to disable my antivirus in case it has actually found a virus, but is it just boloney, or is there another way around it, or how do I do this?

False positive. It found converter's updater.

the converter won't open. I'll double click on the exe file (converterfrontend.exe) and it'll make my cursor load, then do nothing. How do I fix?
