Open those 2 files with a text editor and fix the paths so they match reality.
These are both of the mod files, what do I need to change to fix the paths to match reality?

although i see there is a new update today, keep in mind i finished it before the new update
Well done! I've made a PR and this will be merged very soon. Keep in mind (though you're probably aware) for any further compatches needed due to CK3 or RICE updates, always use the latest version of the converter. Thank you for the help!

Hello, I have a question, when I install the CK3 to EU4 Winrar file, and after having extract it in a file, everything has been transfer except for the file used to convert my game to EU4. Anyone has an idea to help me please ?

Probably your antivirus interfering.

So, I have ckiii not on steam but on microsoft store, I have eu4 on steam so when it said install directory I don't know what to put for Crusader Kings III install directory, can somebody help me out with that? excuse me if I'm doing something wrong this is like my first time actually posting on the paradox forums.

I've taken a look at what's what. Asia Extended is completely different what Asia Rebooted, and neither are compatible with base map. Asia Extended adds navigable rivers and changes quite a bit.

If Asia Extended team wishes to make their mod compatible with the converter, I can provide them with necessary files, tooling and support. Since I personally play none of the asian mods, I have no interest to stay in the loop and update the converter as they push changes - I simply don't have time for it.

While at it, I'm dropping support for asia reboot as it's obsolete. Same goes for that team.
I have a slight interest in trying to get this to work. I'm not affiliated with either team, nor can I promise I will actually be able to complete such a task. Would you still be willing to provide me with such files, tools, and support?

Install directory is the place on your disk where the game is. It's usually somewhere in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86). Find it and link that folder.

Yes. The basis of all conversion is the province_mappings.txt you can find in configurables folder. It links ck3 *counties* (not baronies) with eu4 provinces. In order to do that, we use a program called provinceMapper where one manually has to lay down the links - thousands of them.

You can grab the provinceMapper here:

Now, once you fire it up (be sure to read the readme) you first need to feed it 2 folders: ck3 map folder and eu4 map folder. Eu4 one is simple - it's inside eu4 installation. CK3 one is more iffy as you need to use a special custom-crafted folder where all baronies inside a county are fused together. Fortunately I've already created required files:

Finally, you need to give the mapper a province_mappings.txt file - you can use the one in configurables as a basis for your work - or alternatively map every single province from scratch.

Goal is to map all the new (asian) provinces to eu4 provinces, as well as double-check all the existing links which broke due to mod's changes done to base map.

Overall, you've got a few days worth of work to do. Once done, I'll need the resulting province_mappings.txt and I can add internal support for the mod (in the way it handles chinas etc).

i converted my save and loaded eu4 and nothing changed. i saw what you asked me to add to debug and i dont understand what you are looking for. im a boomer when it comes to these things.
You haven't added the mod to a playset in the launcher and/or you haven't enabled that playset on the main page of the launcher.

It seems doable. Time consuming, and definitely frustrating, but doable. I was clicking away until I realized The Shade was off (and it got even easier). I'm enlarged the EU4 map so I can use the Triangulation feature better.

For UNDEFINED (which I am assuming is mountains and rivers), I'm gonna ignore them. Took me about 30 mins to get halfway through Thailand-Region? I'll keep cracking away at it and see how far I get. Thank you for the files btw!
