Only because he was an intellectual and mocked Rich people. And was close friends with Ernest Hemmingway, who really was a KGB agent...Didn't the House Un-American Activities Committee want to get their hands on him?

Ages ago me and @99KingHigh came up with a zany Hemingway-themed subplot exploring his role in the Cuban Civil War. Perhaps it’s time to revisit it…Ernest Hemingway was always a strange character. He loved polydactyl cats, which have borne the name "Hemingway Cats" and there are massive colonies of them at his homes in Key West and Cuba. It's one of the reasons why my own cat's name has "Hemingway" in it.
Looking forward to seeing what concoction appears for the Decentralised Council Communes of BritainThose new vicky 3 flags look nice...

I like the idea of a Lone Star United States – a massive Texas that games the system to keep its single star no matter how big it gets.Black flag with a million white stars, making it look white.
I'm excited by the US flag being self updating. Having a load or a few stares to keep or get to the flag the player personally likes the most and sticking with it the while game sounds like a challange.
Remives the issue of states rights v fed rights. Just have one state, and one fed. They can fight all they want in perfect harmony.I like the idea of a Lone Star United States – a massive Texas that games the system to keep its single star no matter how big it gets.
Would have to check, but pretty sure these things are both possible in V2. Slave states certainly the player has some control over.. And there’s defintiely a mechanic to elevate territories to states. So I’d hope any dynamic flag would take that into accountYes, I will be very disappointed if you cannot artificially increase or decrease or maintain the number of states for arbitray poltcial reasons (which of course happened and happens in the real US all the time. Also hoping for a slave state divide thing).
Welcome to the present, @roverS3! It‘a good to have you with us at last. It's taken me many months, but I've finally made it, I'm up to date.
These upcoming US elections are going to be intense.
I'm definitely looking forward to the continuation of this wonderful effort.
Ah, condolences. And snap!Apologies for returning with yet another non-update post, but annoyingly my plans to have a chapter out for you all by the end of the month have hit a roadblock: after two years evading its reach, covid has finally struck. Fairly inevitable at the moment in London, but frustrating nevertheless.
Hopefully back soon with better news. In the meantime, see you all on the other side
Thanks Butterfly. And back at you! Hope you have a manageable time of it..Ah, condolences. And snap!
