Yes, sorry, at the moment you have to multiply the coordinates in my viewer by 32. That's because they are block coordinates rather than pixel coordinates.

Oh... I see.

What I'll do is make a status bar underneath which shows the position and size of the selected area.

That would be great. :)

Eventually I will add this to my editor, or help Lord Ederon add it to Pegasus. Summoner was gonna help me on this but I think he's asleep ;)

It would of course be easier if you could do it through an editor, but a viewer to get the coordinates for manual implemention into province.csv is enough for me.

@Kong Skjold
Looking great. :)

This looks almost exactly like paradox provinces, and they are easier to make.

They don't look much like p-dox provinces now either..
..but it does look better..
..so if you redraw the map using that new method of yours it will look better and if it is simpler too then I think you are really on to something there.

It will look more like paradox provinces when transfered to the map using WiSK's editor. I just tweeked the colours a bit to make it look even more like paradox's map.

Most certainly! Just read my signature!

(What I crave a coordinate viewer for is working with province.csv: city placement, army placement, manufactory placement, etc)

Like this?

EDIT: I just looked, and it turns out that I actually *do* use the /G option - so that doesn't fix it...

Send me the eu2map file, I'll take a look.

Excellent! Thanks! :)

I'm not certain that my email client will allow me to send such a big file... wouldn't it be easier for you to simply replicate it yourself? I can send you my batch files if you like? You should then get the same result...

EDIT: It's really too bad that mview is apparantly nothing more than the mcolor tool with a new name... I suppose this is a bug? ;)

Stuck on a case of MFC retardedness. My gfx code works perfectly in my dialog based test app, but in the tabbed MDI editor it only eats processor cycles without actaully displaying anything.

Hi guys !

I want to know if it is possible to extract a map out of those files which just contains the outlines of the provinces. Is that possible ?

thx Madrick

I don't envy you the MFC troubles, but I'm confident you'll crack it :)

Certainly, it is possible in (soon-to-be-released) Inferis' editor and eventually also will be in mine.

Will it be possible to adapt this map editor to other paradox games? HoI? Victoria? HoI2?

I would *assume* that at least HoI should be possible, since the two games are very similar... the minimaps have the same size, so I'd assume that the actual maps does too - so I'd imagine it would just be a matter of changing the province count in the tools. But I'm not the programmer, let's see what Inferis says. :D

I don't have HoI (1 nor 2), so I don't know.

- Changed the province-cap from 1615 to 2020 provinces for modders.
That's excellent! :D

And there was me just telling everyone it wouldn't be done! :eek:o

Inferis, time to update the editor of yours. :D
I'll hold you to that!
