I don't see any india, and the nice portrait variety is not there. its just basic vanilla portraits+DLC.
SWMH does not include India (yet). VIET Immersion is the only module in HIP that modifies portraits, and it is not yet compatible with 2.1.1+.
The latter should be rectified in the next HIP release.

I got bored, so I plotted the total number of posts in the HIP forum over time:
v9wmpdT.png

That's a bit over 6000 posts in 11 weeks; 600 posts per week on average, nearly 100 posts per day.
It's safe to say our forum is rather active.

Do note that this graph starts 4 days before we got the sub-forum; that figure was based on the combined post of the mods in HIP at the time. The count at the time was 21 860. The count passed 28 000 earlier today.
If anyone knows what date we hit 24k posts at it'd be appreciated; it was the only milestone I couldn't find anywhere in my logs.

and here I thought I was being compulsive in my record taking

on a random off-topic question, you're the same Meneth from the Stainless Steel mod team (and that MC submod) right? :p
Yes, same Meneth.
Are there any details as to the development plans now that ROI is here? I'm not asking for release date, rather will there be an extension to represent the Tarim Basin or TIbet for example, or even the inclusion of the Kara Khitai?
The SWMH team said they're considering expanding into the Tarim Basin I think. Tibet won't happen.
His logs, BTW, are embedded in our Skype team chat group, as he announces it ever so excitedly whenever we go over another milestone. That is literally what he's referring to by 'logs': searching for his announces. Cute, really. ;)
Ssh, they don't need to know that!

We plan to release a new version of HIP for RoI next weekend.
It will include VIET Immersion.
It will also include updates to Project Balance and SWMH. Largely bug fixes and ensuring everything is properly updated for the 2.1.2.1 beta patch.

So, with the next update we should be able to use PB, ARKO, and all of VIET (events, traits, Immersion) and have all of India as it is in RoI?

I'm still not sure I understand what VIET Immersion includes since the events and traits seem to be marked as a separate component. What does the Immersion umbrella include?
Yes, Immersion will to my knowledge include all of India.
You'd have to ask Cybr or Ordep about what exactly Immersion does.

What does the "non-bordering holy war requir ..." actually referring to? Does it mean any ruler that doesn't share my religion (religion group)? Even if this is all green what other requirements do I need to fight holy wars?
Non-bordering requirements happen in addition to the other requirements if you don't border the targeted duchy.
If you meet everything relevant in the "is war possible?" decisions the holy war CB should show and will tell you if there's any further requirements when you hover over the "send" button.

I'm not sure I understand this part. Show where? Who are potential targets for these decisions? I have all green lights in the Decisions menu for "Non Dejure Holy War" and "Non-bordering holy war requir ...." (That's how it reads in the decision box; I don't know if there is more.) Can I now wage war on Orthodox as Catholic? I guess I just don't understand what indicators these decisions are giving me.
Orthodox are in the same religion group, so you can't holy war them. I have to assume users are familiar with the vanilla holy war requirements; they're all still in effect in PB, there's just a few additional requirements.

According to the CK2 wiki, which I imagine refers to the default un-modded rules unless otherwise specified, it states that "if you're in a different religious group than your target, your target is a heretic (of your parent religion, so Catholics can't attack Monophysites as they're a Miaphysite heresy), or you are heretic, you can declare a religious war." I would guess this equates to what you are calling vanilla holy war requirements. Add to this that I meet all the Decision requirements as noted in my last post and I still can't declare war on a non-neighbor Muslim as a Catholic because I don't have a valid CB. Where is this requirement coming from if it's not in the Decisions or the regular game rules?
Is no CB showing on the declare war screen?
If so, could you please screenshot the "is war possible?" decisions?

There are 4 sea zones between my coast and his. I didn't know there was a limit on that, so that's probably why I can't attack him, suicidal though it may be (hey, it's personal vengeance!). It's the "lack of CB" the standard message that comes up when you are out of range to go to war? I don't think I've ever tried to fight someone not local before.
Yeah; it's how it works in vanilla.
Nothing much that can be done about it on PB's end, as the game doesn't support showing title requirements on the CB itself, only requirements unrelated to the title.

I, for the life of me, can not get this to work. Here's what I do:

1.I download the post-2.1.1 patch version.
2. I unzip the .7z file
3. I run the HIP.exe and answer the questions.
4. I move the .mod file from the HIP folder into the mods folder.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong or how to correct it?

P.S. I have windows.
You need to put both the generated HIP folder and the HIP .mod file in your mods folder. Easiest way to do it is really to just extract the .7z to your mod folder, then run the .exe.

This is what I did. In my Mods folder i have the HIP folder AND the HIP.mod file. I can't figure out why it won't run. I even check the box in the launcher but nothing changes in-game.
Did you choose a mod folder name with a dash in it? That does not work right now due to issues with Paradox' launcher.

I have tried everything suggested above but the HIP mod still doesn't work. What are its compatibilities and reqs?
HIP requires CKII 2.0.4 (Pre-RoI version), or 2.1.1 or 2.1.2.1 (RoI-version).
No other mods or DLC are required.
Any DLC should work with HIP.
For compatibility with other mods see the second post in this thread, though note that we cannot always guarantee the accuracy of the compatibility table.
