Vichy France controls the Levant area so maybe? Turkey is a neutral country.

Does the Naval Liaison trait actually work? It says it provides 25% bonus to shore bombardment. But the combat tooltips are still only saying -25% to the enemy from my shore bombardment.

How many Earned Traits, Admiral/General Traits, Field Marshal Traits, and Terrain Traits can a character have? The game doesn't explain.

How do I figure out where my convoy route is being attacked? Or my allies resource convoy route from my territory? Japan is importing a lot of resources from my Italian empire and the route is being attacked somewhere and the efficiency is low. But the route is insanely long.

So supposedly having aircraft in a sea zone gives you intel on the enemy fleet? How do you tell how much Intel they are giving you? I've got extra long range tactical bombers and heavy fighters that I could possibly use to detect enemy fleets.

So I have the Italian 8th Army in Ukraine fighting the USSR. I have a few hundred veteran aircraft there to help them. But instead of helping my Army they seem to be helping the German Army further up north on the frontline. What can I do? My Army is the one that needs air support not the Germans.

Doesn't Italy have access to Battlecruisers?

I'm fighting in Russian with my little Italian army and having a hard time. I setup a defensive position by a river and am trying to stock up on supplies and make a push for the oil fields to cut off their war machine. I'm really annoyed that I can't build any forts on the territory I control. Only Germany can build on it. Is there a way to change this?

Naval invasions. I have lost the knowledge how to use the planner so that army has additional land-grabbing orders after the initial naval invasion order. Has it been changed? (Currently the planner only states that no frontline is defined and I can't draw the land attack etc.)

How many escort aircraft do you need per bomber aircraft? My bombers aren't doing shit and it's annoying.

Do you need to string together your sea zones when assigning a convoy raiding mission? Or can you have gaps between them?

I think now that I'm in 1944 my game is starting to lag really bad. 20fps. What can I do? All the major nations have a ridiculous number of Divisions. Way more than they did historically.

Is there no way to see what ships your mines have destroyed?

Is there no way to train your Carrier Air Wings while training your fleet at the same time?

Why doesn't State Anti-Air affect enemy aircraft doing close air support missions?

I think it only increases the effectiveness but not the upper limit, i.e. with it you need less ships to get -25%.

I think there is no limit but the rate with which gainable traits are gained diminishes, see https://hoi4.paradoxwikis.com/Commander_trait#Gainable_traits.

I don't think you can see where allied convoys get attacked. As for your own, the convoy line is depicted as red Xs in strategic regions where raiding happens. Or you need to cycle through the convoy combat notifications.

I think it is shown in the tooltip when you hover the zone in naval map mode?

Combats closer to the airbase and ones with more divisions get prioritized, but there is also a random component in it that you can't control, see https://hoi4.paradoxwikis.com/Air_missions#Close_air_support_mission. You could try to position the planes somewhere so they don't have enough range to support Germany.

Hm, you should be able to. Maybe ask Germany for control of the state.

I think it has been changed, but have it seen mentioned anywhere.
Naval lineage admiral trait: "Number of ships in the first contact +25%".

What does this do?
In the old naval system, different missions used to spread out their ships to different degrees (e.g. search and destroy was less spread out than patrol). If a spread out force gets attacked, not all ships can fight immediately and the others need to catch up. This modifier increases the ratio that can fight immediately. Since the naval rework in 1.6, all missions except mining and training have a spread of 0% (MISSION_SPREADS define), making this modifier useless. It could actually be detrimental to mining missions, because their 100% spread currently makes them almost immune to enemies.

Ideally your escorts remove as much disruption as the enemy applies, see https://hoi4.paradoxwikis.com/Air_combat, especially the formulas for "disruption" and "disruption reduction" in the middle. But there is a bug that may reduce your escorts significantly if the enemy has bad detection, see https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/do-cv-fighters-do-anything.1264784/page-5#post-26028732 last bullet point.

They can be separate, but the ability of each TF to cover more than one zone only applies within the respective contiguous area they operate in. I.e. 5 TF could normally efficiently operate in 10 (contiguous) zones, but they can't in 10 non-contiguous ones. Two or three larger areas should be fine for a fleet of 10 TFs.

Other than defeating them, not much you can do. Divisions that just sit on the front or garrison are not much of a problem. Pathfinding is especially expensive for far and intricately shaped front lines, so you can try finishing up side theaters and consolidating fronts so the AI has less opportunities to reshuffle over long distances, but don't expect huge gains from it.
Is there no way to train your Carrier Air Wings while training your fleet at the same time?
You could base them on an airport for training. But having them train simultaneously sounds like a good suggestion.

What is the "Tactics Movement" bonus associated with some combat tactics chosen in battle? (e.g., on the list here it's described as a category of possible bonus, but no indication of what it means)
a fancy translation to mean: movement bonus from Tactics.

Ok, but what is "movement"? Units have a movement speed when they're not in a battle, but tactics apply during battle, when as far as I can tell they're not "moving" around. Unless it has to do with Reinforce Rate (chance of Reserve units being able to join fight)? That's the only thing I can think of, and why I'm wondering.

All tactics movement apply to attacker only, increase or decrease it

Are Heavy Fighters useless? I've got the 1940 Heavy Fighters upgraded to level 5 Engines to increase agility and speed and they still seem to be getting crushed by my enemies' planes. The reason I am using them is because I have limited industrial capacity and have to fight in Africa with large air zones.

It is useless for the poor. Use +5 on range of light fighter instead.
The enemy planes will also get +5. Try to use heavy fighter where there are no enemy fighter or no your own light fighters.

Heavy Fighters can be usefull for the rich (USA) but aren't really useful for the poor.

Better upgrade regular Fighters with +5 Range, instead of upgrading Heavy Fighters with +5 Engine. This should be cheaper and more efficient.

As far as I know: No
Detection gets averaged over the whole fleet, so some detection on your battleships is nothing. Rather have dedicated spotting fleets with a low ship count, but then spotting planes on all the ships.

How do you create a multi step offensive plan? I know there's a way but the game doesn't say how to.

How much of a State do you need to control to gain control of its factories and resources? I need to cut off my enemies resources as much as possible.

You only need to controll the state capital to controll the state, doesn't matter how much else you controll. Should be the provrince tile with the highest value victory point.
