Most exciting of all is the possibility of late-game catastrophes that change the entire nature of the galaxy. Research into AI could trigger a robotic revolt and old enemies may have to work together to contain the new threat. Those attuned to the warp may find that chaotic beings have been paying close attention to their tinkering with the thin fabric of reality. If that fabric were to tear, unimaginable horrors might spill through.

This sounds like the game I never knew I wanted to play. I don't care all that much for ship customisation but kinda-procedural galaxy-ending catastrophes? Space games don't get much better than that.

Why are all the really cool things hidden in an article instead of advertised

That's how marketing work. Paradox give "exclusiveness" and a head start of a few days to one or a few magazines/articles announcing features, and in return they get super exited and put it on their front pages, news letters, twitters and streams and everywhere.

I'm sure all these features will be properly advertised once they are back from Gamescom, and I suspect that we should soon get that articles or more similar ones linked in a forum sticky like usual.

I want video developer diaries with Johan and Henrik .... Every day.....
I am addicted to them sharing their thoughts.

The only bad thing is that the development of this title steals time from Vicky 3.

Best slogan ever. Exactly how i feel.

Good god, I think this has blown SotS out of the water, and might give Distant Worlds some competition.
