I am extremely excited. Just take at look at this article.

Going to deep into technological development may cause more harm than good. Your individual scientists making the research can go mad. You can join federations who have their own fleets and democratically elected leaders. There will be late game crisis, and for me, an invasion of a Reaper-like intergalactic threat will be a God send. And there may even be genocides or enslavement.

Besides, we can create our own custom factions!

Suddenly, my desire for Rome 2 has vanished.

just found this out: the background of the games website is actually a unlisted YouTube video, I saw it when going through my watch history

Bet Chris King's pissed.

Aye.

Don't worry, I have already called for help.

Do you honestly believe that commissar stands a chance? 40K is a world with flamethrowing nuns. They've probably already been overtaken, and neither of us had the strength of will or stomach to risk googling it...

I think you're overreacting, it's not that bad. There are far worse things out there. Besides, she's cute, I very much like Zone-Tan.

Oh yes, it's actually pretty cute... until it starts involving more tentacles than Lovcraftian horror.
I suppose she's a symbol of why I both love and deeply fear the internet.

And for the record, I laughed pretty hard when I saw your first comment.

Actually. 7 factions + custom ones you can select freely:

"Alternatively, design and name a custom species with the government and attributes you desire"

I read it as 7 races, unknown number of factions.

I actually don't mind tentacles, I much prefer it over things such as Futa, Loli, etc. If you worst then that's Shadman.(Now that I think about it, discussing these things in a public forum about strategy games might not be appropriate)

I am thinking how this will impact GalCiv III. My God, poor Brad Wardell will have to work day and night to compete with Stellaris... and just to make it clear, I play GalCiv III myself. Although I am having some issues with it, such as freezes.

Gonna be honest, I don't even know what half of those things are, and the half I do frighten me greatly.
I suppose Zone-Tan's the personification of rule-34, and why she's both horrible, and terrifying, and I find it hilarious/disturbing she exists.
Let's stop talking about this, get ecstatic about the game, and I'll pretend she doesn't exist...
