trebizond had the capabilities of duchy like those powers as well. That why they should be duchies. They can call it the empire of Luxemburg but if it is more of a duchy than an empire then it should be a duchy.
Trebizond is much reduced after the Mongols. Still, it should be a duchy and not a county.

I love the strokes on the borders of the markets. Makes it clear which is which even with similar colored markets right next to each other. Definitely best version yet!

Hey Pavia can we get the "vassals have similar colour to overlord but not part of it unless clicked" like the one you did in the french TM, and can you make it the default?
Iran in the modern day produces 90%(!!!) of all global saffron, but has always been the center of the spice's trade, eclipsing others by many magnitudes, so I'm hoping that is going to be reflected in the final game. Right now just looking at the goods mapmode does not make it feel that way - especially when compared to the numbers of saffron goods (Or spice goods that are likely to have become saffron) we've seen elsewhere.
Personally I think there should be a little more Saffron in Khorasan. Three locations doesn't really convey the levels of global production this region represents.
Unless I'm totally missing it, there's no saffron at all in Fars, which is a region that is perhaps most associated with saffron and its early and continuing cultivation.

A bit disappointed not to see any locations being added along the old flow route of the Uzboy river into the Caspian Sea (specifically the part between Sarykamysh lake and the Turkmenbashi gulf) until 1575. There were quite a few proposals (here, here, here, and here) that should have been implemented in some way to have this old flow route represented.
Edit: also maybe add Khurmuzfarra to shrink the size of the location of Merv to better fit its surroundings.

Yes, that's Simsim, an Orthodox kingdom in Chechnya, regarded by Chechens as their truly first state organisation.

Neither Morea nor Epirus were despotates. They had rulers that were despots, but "despot" was a title granted by Byzantine Emperors. It had nothing to do with the land that they owned.
It's just a title we use retroactively because the Byzantines didn't have any notion of a sovereign state aside from Emperor.
Which, again, is why the title rank system as currently implemented is stupid.

- This country should be called Ani.
2 - Location Amberd Should be under the control of the Vachutian dynasty.

Khorasani Turkic is really exaggerated, while Turkic penetration in Eastern Khorasan is evident in form of Aimaq and Hazara who, despite being persian-speaking by now, originate from Turko-Mongol population, Western Khorasan never was Turkified to such extent.
Additionally, Adhari spoke language related to Talysh and Gilaki, their modern descendants are Iranian Tat language. The source of confusion is that there are two types of Tats. Caucasian Tats who speak language related to Persian and Iranian Tats who speak language related to Talysh.

Keep in mind that 'Saffron' is a lump good representing not just saffron, but all luxury spices produced in Europe, the middle-east, and most of Arica.
