The question is what does a through f cause? In g, two events do not fire. Is that those two fire if action a is picked?
 
It is an old TRP event.
The event has only ONE consequence; With Option G u wont start Operation Zet. Option A - F have no influence on the amount of help China will receive. I will put it on our "to do" list. Ingame China will receive units by China_nat event 522014 and 522015 whenever SOV is picking Option A to F.
So u can pick Option A and u get the full effect for China.

Sure. U have to pay the prize of the option u select. But unfortunately the event structure isnt well made.
To support China with all additional units u can chose any option beside option G.

Only difference for u is the amount of resources u have to pay for it. But China wont get the resources. They get a fixed amount.

after years of playing HOI2 i found your actuel project:)
I installed what is in post 2.
I:m missing the option to build elite-units as germany. The tech says " new elite-panzer 40 available; elite-Panzer 40 is now old" (sorry for my english)
is this wanted and elite-units are only able by events?
And second question: I conquered poland in middle October. The german AI did it till end september. For me it seems the AI-moving is much faster. Or not?

Elite units/special units are event/decision only units. So u cant build them. The techstructure is a bit confusing but with the trick u can modernise your event division like any regular field division.

For the AI in Poland: I think we never add a speed bonus to the AI. Tbh it is more or less unit composition. The AI swarms Poland with their single stack units with the result that the AI armor will rush through the country.

question to the community: Why should I take tanks? Mechs+self propellet artillery are better (only not hard-attack) AND they are much cheaper. I can get 4 mechs+art instead of 3 tanks. same time to build

1) Where are the files for each province? [I seem to have found a file that has all the provinces in one file (under db/Provinces), so maybe this is moot.]

Everything is the TRP event/decision folders.
does this mod have the general plan ost?
We have different gameplay options for the german-soviet war - so jeah; there is a kind of "Generalplan Ost" event with different following events/decisions.

I love this mod, but I also love to mod it myself a bit =)

I have a question about building elite divisions:

I try to mod the country scenario data, to add command (also created the model file)

allowed_divisions = {

But this command only works for some of them only EArmor, EMetc and EMot, and it works for example for Canada but not for Germany with the same process?
Can someone explain why?
 
Great mod. I prefer TRP over WiF and EoD because the eastern front seems to have better odd for the soviets who often get wrecked by the German ai way too much for me. I also noticed China gets wrecked really fast by Japan, was this modded to make the Japanese ai more formidable. Well I will play a few more games and see.

Think Rommel said once that China failing too hard was the only way Japan could make a fight for the Pacific.

U cant "code" a standing front - that is one of the biggest problems. So we decided to allow the japanese AI an "victory" in China to allow it to advance into India and the Pacific. The AI routine cant handle any "multiple front constellation". Especially the pacific theater is the hardest front to code because the naval invasion AI is horrible and the distances are a nightmare for the AI troop movement and concentration.

Edge of Darkness managed to do it,I think they also added a lot of event forts to china during the invasion.I have done over a dozen germany campaigns with EoD and japan was always at war and in a stalemate with china even in 1945.

Yeah this was originally the case. However, this did not lead to a satisfying outcome - Japan still attacked and somehow managed to overcome the chines forts, leading to the annexation of China in '42 or '43. Thus we went a different path.

We basically created a ai-switch event that increases Japan's passivity massively as soon as a given percentage of Chines land was occupied. This basically creates a stalemate for quite a while. However, at a certain point China becomes too strong and will inevitably regain some of her territories. Thus we created another ai-switch event, which reduces Japan's passivity at a certain point, leading to Japanese offensives. By combining these two ai events in a continuous loop, the desired result of a sino-japanese stalemate can ultimately be simulated very well. @Lord Rommel: you can have a look at our files and make use of whatever you find suitable!

However, what we never got together well is the African theater. Here, even after extensive AI modifications, there are always 30 Italian and another 30 British divisions facing each other - a situation that is completely unrealistic. If a solution could be found for this absurdity, that would definitely be a reason for further development of EoD! So I am open for all suggestions.
